What a waste of a pick. Picking a WR when they have voids at other key positions. Synder has to be the worse GM in the NFL
You realize this wasn’t an actual draft right?
Posted on 3/6/19 at 8:58 am to wildtigercat93
Yeah I know but it is something Synder would actually do.

Ya I'd rather trade that pick for AB if that's the selection.

no Greedy in the first round?
Maybe it's his film, or height/length or 40 time...
NFL teams can see on tape that pass interference is his best skill, even if SEC refs refuse to call it.

Hot take here:
DK Metcalf is going to be a one trick pony in the NFL and won't be worth a first round pick in hindsight.
He was terrible at the cone and shuttle drills. Worse than Tom Brady. Those drills are probably more important than the 40. He's not a "fluid" athlete (although a physical freak), has slow hips, and runs poor routes.
Despite his freakish speed/size/strength combo, he has average production and never showed the ability to get open against top DBs. Plus, he has an injury history that adds to these concerns.
AJ Brown is going to be a far better wide receiver in the league.
ETA:
Metcalf kind of reminds me of Taylor Mays but at a WR instead of safety. Huge, fast, strong physical specimen, but not an elite football player at the end of the day.

Metcalf had a 3-cone drill of 7.38 seconds and a shuttle time of 4.5 seconds. As has been pointed out often since the weekend, Brady ran the 3-cone drill in 7.2 seconds and the shuttle in 4.38 seconds at the 2000 combine.

If he can make 2 catches for 70 yards and a TD in a game that team will be fine with him. If he's a better Ted Ginn and makes a career on that, then a team would be happy. Not Sure Ginn was worth a top 10 pick either, but he could return kicks as well as go deep

Ted Ginn is much more fluid and much better at creating separation. If that dude could catch without using his chest he'd be elite.
DK is a giant fast robot that can run in a straight line. He is stiff and runs horrendous routes because of it.
I'm not saying he won't be a contributor, but he is definitely not worth a top 10 pick, or even a 1st round pick in my eyes, for a variety of reasons I stated above.

I feel like the 1st pick can be more of a curse than a blessing sometimes.

List is garbage. Where are the DB's?

Didn't you use your 1st and 2nd last year on DB's?
Posted on 3/6/19 at 10:07 am to UltimateHog
3 first round TEs?
I think there are some really good values in this draft. Ed Oliver at 18 would be a steal.

It would be a mistake for all 10 of those teams to pass on Devin White IMO. He will be a franchise impacting leader on defense.

And the previous years 1st and 2nd.
ETA: I was being sarcastic. Either way I hate drafting a TE when GB under utilizes them and when there are much bigger needs.

I know QBs get pushed up the draft, but was Haskins really that good this year? I only watched a few of his games, but I wasn’t that impressed.

So Greedy measures in at 6’2”, 185 pounds and runs a 4.37 and he goes from a top 10 picks to out of the first round?
He was out of the first round before the combine
