I want to donate my organs before I die so that I will be able to see the advances that I’m contributing to

You get your name changed to Science?
real response is that i will do like my dad and let them harvest as much of me as they can before they burn the rest.

I did cadaver gross anatomy in grad school. Some of my tank mates were complete dumbasses in the way they dissected the cadaver. Made me think twice about donating my body to “science.”

I have no problem donating organs for transplant, etc....however, I am not crazy about the idea of my body staying in a medical school fridge for months while medical students laugh about my small schlong size every day!

As in testing different methods to enlarge your tiny penis, right?

I’m an organ donor too, but in all honesty, the odds for you dying in a way that makes your organs viable for donation is really low.
At least donating to science helps train future doctors right?
The drawback is that your family doesn’t get your remains back for several years I believe.

Only thing I'm good for would be Longterm marijuana use on the lungs research.

Would you donate your body to bro-science?
Posted on 2/17/19 at 2:24 pm to georgia
Already have
Wife keeps telling them I’m ready to be picked up and I keep hoping no one from a Monty Python movie is waiting out front

I thought that was evident in my post plus the Chinese name.

They would take me, pull my pacemaker, wash it off and sell it on the used medical device market in South America. Might pull and sell my carbon fiber heart valve, too. Both seem to work fine and might have lots of miles left when I die. I think the pacemaker leads sort of seal themselves in place, so they would need to go to radio Shack (Best Buy?) and purchase some new wires.
I bet the junk inside of me is worth a few hundred dollars on the used medical junk market.
As far as organs goes, I had hepatitis and they don't want any organs, or leftover blood, or eyeballs, etc.
If you sell to a medical school, they will cremate your body and toss the ashes if you like.
I told the wife when she has be burned, she can take my ashes and go rent a bay fishing trip in the gulf. Then a hundred yards off the dock she can quickly dump me in the gulf and then tell them to take her back - that she feels seasick.
As an alternate, she could rend a high in the air condo and dump me off the balcony in the wind. Would dust my over every car in the parking lot.

This. I've been in a cadaver lab once and after seeing the body parts tossed around like worthless, rotten meat I'll pass on donating my body to science. Only way I would is if I developed some rare disease that researchers could still do work on and learn from postmortem

My late father-in-law did just that. He made arrangements with the LSU School Of Medicine to donate his body at his time of death and they picked him up at his son's house in Hammond after the coroner did his thing.
It was just over 4 years to the day of his death that the family got back his cremated remains.
My wife wishes to do the same thing and if she pre-deceases me, I'll honor her wishes.

The desecration I witnessed as a student would make me say no. Many jokes will be made at the expense of your corpse.
