You carry a PPQ? Isn’t that on the large size? Why not go with the ccp?

I have this same pistol and I thought the same thing. I love the fit.

Didn’t want to spend much initially simply because i wasnt sure i would like carrying, but i think i might have found my Upgrade.
Definitely try before buying. Baby Glocks are a very acquired taste.

Just bought a Ruger .380 LCP at academy for $200. Really easy to carry, lightweight and fits in a pocket. Weapon of choice for the rest of you OT ballers?
I agree... Great price and great little gun... Don't need a holster or anything... Just slip it in you pocket as you walk out the door...
You can put all rounds in the target at 25 yards,,, Not bad for a 2" barrel...

My wife wasn't comfortable with guns yet
She really prefers a larger bore.

The LCP 2 has a nice little trigger on it for a mouse gun. Much more comfortable than Kel-Tec's .380.

Before my boating accident I carried a Glock 19 everyday.

PPQ is mid-sized. It's shorter than a G19, but a little taller. My uncle has a CCP, and I just don't shoot it as well as my Shield. I don't even need to aim after drawing with the PPQ and Shield, and I'm hitting where I want. That's something I require in a CC gun

Not trying to start anything but carrying a gun with only 50 rounds of practice through it scares the crap out of me. Before I will carry a weapon it has to have at least 400 rounds fired through it so I can see if there are any issues. Not to mention at least 40 rounds of the defense ammo. Not all ammo works well in every gun so you need to practice with it a lot to understand what will happen when the IT hits the fan. Try rapid firing, does the gun fail in any way shape or form? If so figure out what caused the failure - mag, ammo, shooter. Why rapid firing? Because in a self defense situation you will be so amped up you will not be firing slow and methodical. It will be quick. Can you and the gun keep up.
As to the original question, for me its situational
When I am running - Original Ruger LCP
If I have to pocket carry - S&W Bodyguard or maybe an XDs 45 (depending on the pocket depth)
Other times - Either FNS9c or Shield 40
Switching that much gives me an excuse to hit the range a lot. For example, Honey, I need to go practice drawing the Bodyguard because its about to be summer and I need to keep proficient :)
Dry fire practice and using this - LINK / helps when I can't get to the range.

There has been a lot of good carry guns listed in this thread. Here are a few suggestions as well.
1 Try to shoot a few different guns of the ones listed to decide on your next gun sometimes they just call your name.
2 if you go without safety then stay with platforms that do not have a manual safety.
3 do not carry without a holster even in a pocket without a pocket holster even a 7 pound trigger can be pulled.

quote:I hate that gun. Can barely hit paper with it at 7yds, and I've shot maybe 200rds through one. My other CC guns...I can hit the 9 and 10 rings in fast-draw shooting (but I have 750+ through one, and 5000+ through the other). I can also run perfect drills with those all day long
S&W Bodyguard
