Honestly, the DC animated features are so much more entertaining than the DCEU flicks, that I'm kind of nervous about them remaking those.

Which is my hesitation in wanting a live action trilogy based off of "A Death in the Family" with "Under the Red Hood". If they want to keep Batman as dark as possible, this would be a logical place to go. They did have that Easter Egg in BvS, but seeing it play out would make for a great film. I'm not sure how you could make it without getting a R rating.

Idris Elba

I've said for years they ought to cast him in the role. I'm serious. It would be worth the week of bullshite after the casting was announced. The only hang up would be the fact that there's not much black old money. But shite, Batman's best friend is an alien with amazing powers and he rolls with an Amazon warrior princess. If you can swallow that, you can deal with a world where the slaves were freed after the American Revolution or reconstruction worked out really well.

I don't want a black Batman but the "old money" thing is crap. Just make Martha Wayne black and you have a black Bruce with old money.

Wasn’t Hammer cast as Batman in the ill-fated Justice League movie?

I guess Ryan Gosling and JGL are too old? Seems like their names used to come up a lot for the part.
Just looked it up, they're both 38.

Armie Hammer just had a pretty hilarious interview about his white privilege. Would make for a fun build up to the movie

Word is the new batman has been cast and announcement is coming as early as this week. Jett, from BOF, is hinting at Nicholas Hoult or Aaron Taylor Johnson.

Just cast Armie Hammer and be done with it. He’s better than a lot of the choices I’ve seen.
