Teachers love their jobs, but they say they have the right, and the reasons, to walk out on them.
As a man who married a former teacher and has a family of multiple teachers, I call huge bullshite on this.

Two things I wanted to add to this.

1. Saying teaching is hard is a fallacy. I’ve been in the classroom before on two separate occasions in my life and it’s only hard for people who also just suck at life. Go work at Associated Grocers as a selecter driving an electric pallet jack for 12-15 hours a night stacking pallets for a year. Go work on a crew building fences or doing framing everyday. STFU. Literally every job in food service, construction, farming, industrial, manufacturing and countless other segments are ALL harder than teaching. And NONE get two months off a year or get to take a year off randomly.

2. Apparently according to this thread every single teacher known to man does the cheer squad and the girls basketball team and the boys soccer all at the same time and gets paid $1/hr to do them all! I didn’t realize how many 1st grade cheer squads there were. bullshite. My kids played middle school sports. Literally ONE of their teachers was at the game over seeing the cheer squad and by “over seeing” I mean playing on her phone drinking a Diet Coke. The rest were coaches and the principal and vice principal.

I appreciate teachers. My mom was one and my sister is one. They knew what they were getting into and they don’t complain other than bitch about their boss and everyone has a right to that.

But teachers who continually bitch about pay and run to the public to push tax increases or do dumb shite like what EBR just did to Exxon can STFU or go get another job. Our schools are 49th but their pay is median to our region. They are nothing but a FLEECING.

If our military was run by teachers we’d all high stepping and speaking German today.
Endrant
