No. I think the much more innocent explanation of calling a loose game, which fits the facts you outlined, explains what we saw much more than a league preference on who they wanted to win.

2 refs missing this call is statistically extremely unlikely without some type of collusion or decision made by the refs. It doesn’t even have to be a malicious decision but even a decision as a group to change the way they normally call a game is criminal.
