So Thor gets 2 (OK this is) epic entrances back to back; which one was better?

Infinity War

Ragnarok

my vote goes for IW

i watched it on Netflix a few days ago and my inner child was like "frick YEAH LET'S GO. BRING ME THANOS, TOO!"

Ragnarok just had a shocking song and a pretty sweet Snyder-esque slow mo comic panel

I usually hate when people make noise in movies, but hearing everybody in the IMAX theater when Thor enters in IW was pretty damn awesome.

IW gets my vote

I'm not gonna lie, when he came down in IW and started wrecking shite I was sitting in my seat and silently let out a "let's fricking go" I was jacked.

Ragnarok really isnt an entrance.

but the Brothers discussed that Thors entrance in IW was originally meant for Cap. But they didnt want to leave Cap out of the movie for that long. So they wrote him in to save Vision.

I didn't know shite about the Thor character (i'm not really a comic book guy) until I saw the post-credits teaser with Thor's hammer. Even with a couple of so-so movies to start the Thor franchise, he has easily become my favorite of the MCU characters.

I had the same reaction.

If that had been Cap I likely would have rolled my eyes. By far my least favorite Avenger.

100% correct. IW all day, even though Ragnarok was badass too. My personal reaction...

Cap is a moral compass and, allegedly, a leader

he's nowhere near powerful enough and isn't in the right arc for that entrance. Thor's arc in Rag/IW up to that moment was epic

cap's arc climaxed with Civil War

There were two fantastic audience moments in Infinity War at the theater.

When Thanos stabbed Tony:

the entire theater gasped and went quiet and I heard the kid next to me whisper "No!".

And Thor's arrival at Wakanda when the whole place went nuts.

it's pretty crazy to me that the quietest a theater has ever been as the end credits rolled was a freaking comic book movie lol. I've seen a bunch of sobering and humbling films in theaters over the years, and nothing compares to walking out of IW in complete silence with 200 other folks.

well thought was that Cap was an outlaw and off the grid. They wanted him to have a big return entrance onto the good guys team.

The theater I was in applauded Cap’s entrance to save Vision as well.

It was eerie. The entire audience were just shook.

This.

It was so quiet at the end of IW you could hear a mouse get a hard-on.

The IW entrance was easily the best IMO.

Thor kind of screws up power scaling though. He is probably the most powerful person in all of Marvel comics outside of Thanos with the infinity gauntlet.

The whole movie's CGI was Hanna-Barbera bad. Enjoyable movie. Bad Thor movie. Laughable CGI.
