its not personal -just frustration. Our offense was anemic, the line could not block, the rb could not break tackles, and the receivers could not catch.

We got a ton of big plays off of PA this year even with Brossette and CEH back there.
Certainly. It isn't unsound against teams where it makes sense. It didn't help us against Bama's team speed. We needed horizontal spacing, too. LSU had 19 yards rushing.

It's already been said on here multiple times that Ensminger's continued use of option routes kept our two stud freshman WRs off the field

We always get a ton of big plays on play action. No one is saying playaction is a bad thing. There is an in between though. We have yet to develop a nice spread you out passing game to use when the run game isn't working. If we had that spread you out element it would back the defense off, then you could run the ball, then you could sell playaction.
The thing we have been complaining about is that fact that our coaches think there are only 2 elements to an offense. Run the ball then the playaction pass. They completely ignore all of the updated concepts that everyone else is integrating, including the Rams.

That is fine. You can’t excpect much outta true freshman wr in the SEC. they should be much better and big time contributors the next two season.

We ranked 90th in S&P's explosive plays stat.

Actually he said that the Rams use this philosophy with Gurley, you know the team they studied in the offseason, but please, continue bashing a retired guy for no reason.
Have you watched the Rams this year? They have so many looks on offense it'll make your head spin. They also love the jet sweep, which cracks me up.

You have a problem with comprehension because thats not what he said

they should be much better and big time contributors the next two season.
And the freshman excuse doesn't work. Alabama consistently has stud freshman WRs playing. And did you not watch Clemson's two freshman WRs ball out in the National Championship game?

Exactly.

YEP, seems like there is nothing wrong with our scheme and play calling, just need to get better talent.

I’d be willing to be my left nut, right nut and both big toes Jerry Sullivan has forgotten more about football than you’ve ever almost known.
You people never cease to amaze.

Where did Sullivan say this?

He made a comment that people are responding to. I’m assuming the comment was recent which would make criticism of said comment reasonable.

I'm sure he knows way more than us about fundamentals, history of the game, how traditional offenses are run, etc.
But there's a reason even the NFL is starting to hire young, innovative offensive minds and guys like Jerry Sullivan are disappearing faster than a Schwinn in the hood.

Bama has judy who was probably the best WR in the country this year. Last year as a true freshman he didn’t do more than our freshamen WRs did this year. Let me guess his coaching sucks bc he didn’t have a monster year his true freshman season

You also left out that he said going 5 wide sounds great in theory, but you still need someone to hold blocks. Point being, again, the offensive line hindered the entire offense.

So LSU's philosophy is "because our talented young WR's aren't experienced enough to fully execute the offense, we're going to limit their playing time until they gain enough experience to fit our plan?"
Others schools say: "shite! This guy is good. He's not experienced enough to fully execute everything we want him to do, but let's scheme enough to make sure we get him the ball. He can gain that experience along the way."

I promise Les knows more than you.
And Cam Cameron
And Gary Crowton
But that doesn’t mean they ran good offenses.
They need to know more than 1. Other OCs who could be doing their job, 2. The DCs they are competing against on the field.
