Does this bother any of you?

The Trump campaign chairman was sharing campaign polling data with a Russian intelligence asset in the midst of the campaign.
That’s your story from the Manafort filing (since they messed up the redactions).

Depends. What was the data? Most of it ends up public anyhow. Was there something secret about it?
To what end? Did he know it was a Russian intel asset?

Is that illegal?

Not in the least. Why? Should it? Please tell me why it should.

So everyone knew she was Russian intel?
This polling data... is it illegal to share it?
I eagerly await your responses.

What, exactly, is the concern supposed to be about??
Serious question.

Paul Manafort of sharing polling data from the 2016 U.S. presidential election with a man linked to Russia's intelligence agencies, court documents mistakenly revealed Tuesday.
Defense lawyers filed the court document in response to allegations by Mueller that Manafort shared the information with alleged Russian spy Konstantin Kilimnik

I'm just trying to figure out why sharing polling data with an alleged Russian spy is a problem. These aren't national security issues.

I read the link. It is ALL about Manafort lying to the FBI. Disingenuous much?

I'd call it smoke but don't particularly care much

Not enough info to have an opinion.
The first paragraph said the Russian was “linked” to Russian Intelligence.
When I see “linked,” my bullshite radar pegs to the right. That word is often used in dishonest reporting by both sides. “Linked” could mean literally anything.
“Linked” could mean that a guy that serviced the Russian’s car 6 years ago has an ex girlfriend that dated a guy who was in Russian Intelligence.
It’s a bullshite word.
Also, the Russian is an “alleged” spy.
Shady reporting.
Not gonna bite.

No. The guy was campaign chief for what? Like a month out of a 2 year campaign.
He worked on SEVERAL campaigns, some of those abroad, and it's not unlikely he shared information about polling to someone he had worked with before.
I do that all the time for old colleagues and vice versa.
My return question is, what do you think sharing that data did for anyone involved? Especially Russia.
The mental gymnastics here is borderline Q thread...
