Only scoring 40 points while getting 555 yards is bad

It was like we kicked their fricking arse physically, then stepped on our giant physical dicks with playcalling and discipline in the redzone

Should have been 44. Burrow scored and they ruled him down. Kicked a FG

40 points is nothing to anger yourself over

Burrow should have legitimately had 6 total TDs. He scored on the 1st possession and Jefferson dropped a beautiful pass in the end zone on that smash route.

Why is it bad? Seems pretty average to me. Here is the average for teams this year according to the NCAA website (avg yrds/ avg pts):

1 Oklahoma 643 49.5
2 Alabama 623 47.9
3 Utah St. 618 47.5
4 Houston 557 46.4
5 Clemson 590 45.4
6 UCF 530 44.2
7 Memphis 567 43.6
8 Ohio St. 565 43.5
9 West Virginia 465 42.3
10 Toledo 493 41.1
11 Syracuse 489 40.8
12 Ohio 13 521 40.1

40 pts and 555 yds is right there.

A false start at the 1 and fumble at the 2 aren’t exactly his fault. I would’ve liked to see us punch it in too, but I’m not going to blame him for those two. Score there and we have 48, is that better?

Anyone that thinks this is an idiot. By posting here you prove it to the world.
Most importantly, it's less time in your madden game. Now go back to your mommy's basement.

Look at points per minute of TOP.
Then get back to me and tell me which offense was more explosive

we definitely need to fix our red zone TD problem; and it IS a problem and has been all year. good thing we had a great FG kicker.

the first and biggest problem is we struggled mightily with running the ball in. that's and OL and RB issue. and the second problem is we struggled with hitting receivers in the end zone. that's a problem with the WR's not getting open or play calling.

there you go; three problems and they need to be fixed or we will not advance to the next level.

And the clock was running on each & every yard. Without a respected run game in the red zone, the short field is tough on the pass game. Against an O like UCF, play keep-away. We held the ball 44:31. Can’t score if you don’t have the ball. A well executed game plan with so many backup D players.

Relax, with the returning WRs, a healthy TE, an improved OL, maturing QB & much easier schedule, next year should be one to remember.
