The people that are huge now were already streaming.
That said, Ninja got a massive handout when the mainstream media mistook Drake playing Fortnite with him for him being some kind of gaming God. Seeing shite of him on ESPN is really cringe. Ninja needs to stay in his lane and stay off the New Years Countdown shows.

I hope other companies follow suit. They're the first game to make their game FREE, and season based/cost, AND make the game completely cross platform.

I don’t think Fortnite is going anywhere. It’s still the most played, and watched game in the market right now. They’re constantly updating and changing it. The developers listen to their base, and make changes when needed. It’s amazing what Epic is doing right now.
BR will die as a fad. I feel like it has an even shorter shelf life than MMOs and MOBAs.

A lot of fads go away because they don't adapt. Fortnite seems to be adapting constantly. They could easily go the wrong way so it could help or hurt them.

Hope he knows he's about to pay a shite ton in taxes.
Posted on 1/2/19 at 9:06 am to DoUrden
If he is smart, he uses every month of that money as "another year I don't have to work a real job" and then just enjoys life.
Assuming 50% taxes, that is 3 mil a year. He could live like a king on 500k / year and save 11 months of income every year. 3 years of this means he never has to work again, while living on about 400k / year.
I used to watch him play H1Z1 and he had 5k viewers on average per stream and was still holding about 5k subs. More than enough to live on.

He probably gets paid plenty of money for appearances.
He's a gamer too so its likely he still lives in his parents basement and eats doritos, ramen and mt. dew.

Fortnite will die once PUBG comes to consoles.

PUBG is on console, and here we are.
It's still a pretty broken game, and releasing on PS4 isn't going to change much, if anything at all.

PUBG wont kill fortnite, the genre will steadily decline over time. I dont play fortnite, but it seems like it has the staying power. Millions of kids 13 and younger play it on their phones and consoles so it will stick with them for a while.
If I were Twitch I would be worried if ninja got tired of the game and decided to dedicate more time to something else that wasnt so kid friendly.

:sarcasm: Go back and read the fortnite thread when it first started. All the PUBG snobs from this board gave it no shot.

I was joking. Sorry, I didn't make that clear.
PUBG is nothing to fortnite. Plus its on console already.

Only reason people are talking about Fornite is because it is the closest thing they have to PUBG on console. Trust me it isn't even close. Once PUBG switches over fortnite will be irrelevant.

Gotcha.
Both games cater to a different type of gamer. PUBG to the sim combat crowd, Fortnite to the children. It's too bad that PUBG basically became a shite show and was actually even worse when it came to the Xbone.

The new map, Vikendi, Is really well done visually and has some unique challenges.
They still have work to do, but it's not unplayable by any stretch.

He lives in a million dollar house, and his stream room is probably worth more than your whole house.

His parents must be loaded
