HAYS COUNTY, Texas — A girl’s inoperable brain tumor is gone and doctors have no explanation.
quote:
It's hard to imagine that in June doctors diagnosed Roxli with an inoperable cancerous brain tumor called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG.
"It is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease,” said Dr. Virginia Harrod with Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas. “You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficulty with breathing."
Harrod said the now 11-year-old went through weeks of radiation, even though there is no cure. The family held a benefit for her in August, and the community responded in a big way. At that point, all Gena and Scott Doss could do was pray for a miracle.
“And we got it,” Gena said.
“Praise God we did,” Scott said.
Now, they cry tears of joy.
"When I first saw Roxli's MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable,” Harrod said. “The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual

Uh...sounds like the radiation worked and shrunk the tumor a lot
But it will likely recur
But it will likely recur

I suppose for whatever reason it could’ve been a more radiosensitive tumor than usual - having to do with the neoplasm’s biology

What about the people that pray and believe just as much and die anyway?

What about them?
They’ll die?
This girl will too. Eventually

Then why prayer if that’s your attitude?

They apparently never heard of coincidence. Sometimes tumors simply go away for no known reason.
Edit: They probably spell it "doctor's" just like the OP.

Same happened to a girl on northshore, except hers was operable. Arrived at hospital for pre-op and it was gone, and she told her parents beforehand that she could feel it was gone after praying with her school. Only thing visible on tests was some scar tissue as if surgery had already been done.

.....and that student's name was Einstein!

This finishes a run of three straight incredibly cynical comments.

They didn't pray hard enough.
Or...my favorite response:
the Lord works in mysterious ways. It's not part of the plan.

Before Jesus was a carpenter, he was a neurosurgeon.

SUCK ON THAT LIBS!!!

So if Jesus got rid of the tumor, does that also mean Jesus gave her the tumor?
Posted on 12/18/18 at 1:29 pm to theunknownknight
Doctors have done studies on these miracle scenarios. some defy explanation, others it seems the body went terminator mode with its natural defenses to kill the tumors. Those studies have led to immunotherapy based cancer treatments which have shown promising results.
Moral of the story? if you let Jesus into your life good things happen!

So what about the kids that aren't healed by prayer? Does God just ignore their family's prayers? What I'm saying is: I believe in the power of prayer and God, but there has to be another explanation.

How do you know it was prayer that worked?

You know, putting words in people’s mouths is pretty childish. Making fun of someone’s belief system without understanding it is sooooooooo intellectual. Good work
