Diamondbacks arent that bad but they aren’t as nice as they were in the early 80s. Actually they sort of sold out in the 80s, the freestyle diamondbacks were meh

Mongoose were pretty much top of the line in the 70s and early 80s, they have some that are pretty nice (the ones at shops) but they aren’t quite the same

Hutch closed down in the late 80s or possibly easly 90s and some guy bought the rights about a decade ago and started remaking a few parts and bikes.

I still get goose bumps when I see a GT Pro Performer:

I actually tried selling it for $300 on facebook and a BMX board and had no takers - which is crazy because it’s a sick bike. Now my son’s girlfriend’s kid is just about big enough for it so I’m just holding on to it for him.

Back in my day it was Mongoose,
I had a Supergoose that was awesome...I wish they still made that model.
ETA...growing up near Knoxville...I used to see a ton of Vectors.
They were odd...but still pretty cool.

96 P.K. Ripper was the last bike I raced on. Bought it with some add-ons for $899, was the lightest bike I ever rode.

Oh god hated those people the martinos they built vector hated their bikes more, raced a scorpion PK Ripper then Hutch Prostar 2 years then did a frame swap with the candy apple red hutch pro frame. that prostar frame should still be around the tri cities area. Raced cherry street Knoxville Johnson city Bristol Rome peach tree city and Dixieland Nashville
