Yall are selling the SEC short.

Bama would be in win or lose. A GA win puts both in the CFP.

Don’t forget about the money. LOL

Not very likely we win both of our remaining road games with this offensive offense anyway.

LSU will lose to A & M. It’s 9-3 guys. Quit wasting your energy.

No, it's strictly done by CFP ranking. If both teams win out in the regular season, and Georgia loses in the SECCG, they would have to essentially not move in the rankings to stay ahead

That used to be the case under the BCS format. UGA will still be in a NY6 game.

But Georgia will be the so called"Runner up" in the SEC.

Does that classify them higher then LSU ?
even though LSU is ranked higher?

Ehhh. Bama didn’t even play in the SEC Championship last year..........so technology they were #3 the conference..........

If we beat UGA by 20 you think they have a chance vs bama?

That game could be in Athens, bama will destroy them.

Hotel rooms. They don't want people who come 60 miles for the day. They want fans from a distance who come for a week.

This is the playoff era.

These “NY6” bowls don’t mean shite.

I don’t see how we’re selling the SEC short? I’ve watched Alabama destroy the same LSU team that dominated Georgia. I don’t think there’s a way Georgia beats this Alabama team. Does that mean Georgia and LSU suck? NO. LSU and Georgia are still damn good teams that will likely win 11 games respectively

Right now no one knows what will happen. And the CFP committee has been inconsistent so it remains to be seen what they value this year.

LSU just needs to win and look good doing it to put themselves in the best position possible.

Still a lot to play for.

It's not a debate on who they want or think is 2nd best.

If the SEC Champion is selected to participate in the four-team playoff then the next highest ranked SEC team in the CFP Selection Committee Rankings will represent the SEC in the Sugar Bowl.

Let UGA have the sugar bowl. I'd prefer the Fiesta.

LSU has never been there. Screw the Sugar.

Auburn lost the SECCG last year and ended up in the Peach. They would've gone to the Sugar if it hadn't been one of the CFP bowls.

If we win out, I think we will go to the Peach Bowl. I still think that UGA may stay ranked ahead of us, unless we blow out A&M and they lose big to Bama. Apparently, there is also talk that we could end up in the Fiesta Bowl as an at-large.

It's all speculation at this point. I just want us to win out and let the chips fall where they may.

The Sugarbowl will take LSU if we win out and UGA loses to Bama in the Sugarbowl, if it isn't a close loss. UGA will drop behind LSU if it is a typical Bama beatdown, it if is a close game like last years NC game, then Sugarbowl will take UGA.

Hard to knock them for having to play a 13 game while we sit at home.

So LSU would benefit for not having to play in the SECCG? Noooooo say it ain't so. Surely the Rant opposes this

The teams (not named Bama) in the SECCG are playing to get into the playoffs. I'd much rather be in their shoes risking the sugar bowl but possibly gaining the playoffs. It's just slightly different than Bama getting a playoff berth without winning their division and sitting at home during the SECCG.

This is absolutely not true. LSU jumps a two loss UGA with a common loss and head to head win.

You say that like it’s a formula, it’s not. We could/should depending on the remaining schedule for both goes but it is entirely possible UGA remains ranked higher

Assuming Bama beats UGA, LSU would win the tie breakers in terms of rank in conference.
