Domino's might have a hot spot around there

That's your 1st post??
I'm by far the most tolerable and patient guy in the world, but this just got under my skin.
The whole thought process behind a tailgate is to make great food.
Grilling, pepper jelly dips, Jambalaya, armadillo eggs, boudin, smoked chicken balls, jalapeno poppers...ect..ect...
WHY?
would you need catering?
and NO
Nobody can get to your tailgate, because it's a logistics nightmare.
If you need something, just pick it up from the store on the way to the game.

Probably all of them for the right amount of money.

Not at LSU but a good friend of mine caters the OM games for tailgates. He sets his own up and then uses his tailgate as a home base. Leaves home at like 3 am. He catered 27 tents for the Bama game two weeks ago. He makes a killing just grilling a bunch of shite wrapped in bacon lol. He does own his own catering service though as his profession and has the people to work it for him as well.

But if you have a tailgate spot, aren't you goin to have all that?

It’s going to be rough to pull this off.
Best bet is to pay the cheesy corporate tailgate company to do it for you or place a pick up order from one of the Bergerons locations and bring it out there

He has basically two different prices. One he literally sets everything up tent and all and you just show up. Another he caters all the food so you don’t have to cook. I would never do it but he makes good food and people are willing to pay for it. I just use him for his coolers. Throw him some money and my beer is there and I don’t have to drag around a fricking cooler.

Not surprised in the least given the school

I'm with you Paul. The best part of tailgating is getting out there early firing up the burners and getting to work.

Because he obviously doesn't want to cook, but wants to pregame.

You should be fine.

And so it begins. The death of traditional tailgating at LSU. As soon as people start using that tailgate vendor, the University will declare it the “will of the majority” and make it campus wide. I fully expect private tailgates that don’t generate revenue for LSU to not be allowed within ten years.

The new Matherne's near the stadium says they deliver.

Unfortunately this is coming. Certainly on all of the “green space” areas around campus. The environment of catered food, uniform tents, & probably idiotic rules like “no open flame” cooking soon will be upon us.
Enjoy what we have while we have it.

Really? Back in the 80-90's, we didn't have time for all this bull crap. We would pull up at Locket hall around 3-4pm, eat some Popeye's, throw the football and walk into the game.
The mass theater that is tailgating now is a newer phenomenon.

BlockParty Tailgate Packages
Scroll to the bottom. They deliver the food.
You don't need to rent the tents, etc. You can just do catering.
Have a nice tailgate.

Izzo's and Voodoo BBQ deliver food on game days.

For the record, I have had friends do this. Not at LSU but other campuses. They supply the whole setup, tent, food, etc. Just mention it as it's not unheard of.

Hey buddy, mr king tailgate, sorry to offend you. I'll have you know, I graduated from LSU in 96 and have been tailgating since 98, leaving my house in NEw Orleans before dawn every Saturday no matter who we were playing. However as we get older and kid's stuff get in the way, i.e stupid soccer games, not as many people can make the tailgate. This week our number 1 and 2 cooks can't make it and another one has to come late. Therefore, I'm looking for ways to make it easier on myself other than having to set up the tent, sattelitte dish, four tvs, set up ice chests and fans. Maybe one day i can master it by myself like u have, but unfortunately this week is not one of them.
