You're projecting.

I'm not overgeneralizong, I'm looking at a dataset. You're emotionally invested, and I get that, but it's making you biased.

By the way, statistics is generalizing. Of course there are outliers and points on both sides of the curve.

Never base anything off of just one study.

That being said:

My sister in law and uncles are dentists, and I have a cousin who is a doctor. All of them say the same thing. A lot of people in medicine are there to make money, and don't give a frick about the patients. In the case of the dentists, my sister in law has seen her fellow dentists tell patients they have a mouthful of cavities and then go on vacation. The patient comes in and sees my sister in law, who finds out they don't have any at all, and the other dentist was just looking to make money.

I have a lot of other stories. I'm convinced hospitals are where people go to die. There are a lot of doctors who will medicate you with the most expensive shite and if you die or your health decreases, oh well.

I lift Bro, cardio 3x week and eat healthy. Had high cholesterol at age 32 (first time I had it checked) due to genetics. Statins have lowered it to a normal level. But yeah, they are pointless.

You act like people with genetic factors don't die early, even with treatment? Well, most still do.

You act like lowering cholesterol wont reduce the risk of heart disease, genetic or not.

Happened to me. Uncle is a dentist, but don't live close. So started going to a new one. Said I had a cavity so I got a second opinion since I never had one before. Uncle says im starting to get one on my wisdom tooth. He could fill it, but no point because they will have to come out anyway down the road.

So yeah. I didn't end up wasting money on that.

1. Your grammar is horrendous
2. The wisdom tooth that had a cavity could have become painful of it wasn't filled so despite the tooth having to come out at some point, getting it filled may still have been a viable option. The second opinion disagreed and could have been correct as well, but dentist 1 probably wasn't scamming you. Different opinions on the best treatment.

I think my point about genetics went right over your head. Lowering your cholesterol NUMBER won't extend your life beyond your genetics. Its just a data point.

Fun fact: despite all the "advancements" in medicine, the US lifespan has now decreased. Three years in a row.
