Picked up the Asics Dynaflyte 3 on sale for 53. Needed to replace both Reeboks that you just mentioned and want to try something different. I usually stay away from Asics as they tend to be overbuilt and heavy as a pair of combat boots; clodhoppers if you will.
Apparently Asics has been trying to rebrand with flytefoam, moving away from the heavy GEL nonsense that no one has taken seriously for running since it's inception. Right at 9 ounces for a 9.
When I retire the Reeboks and the Boston 8s, I plan on my rotation looking like: Speed Elite, Dynaflyte, Kinvara.
