Why are so many fans overlooking Boston Scott?

You overlooked Alvin Kamara last year.
You overlooked Darrin Sproles when we first got him.
Now you’re overlooking Boston Scott.

The guys not built to be a workhorse, and they need somebody to get the tough yards weeks 1-4.

nobody overlooked Sproles
lots of people were pissed though when we gave up on Antonio Pittman for some bum named Pierre Thomas.

who's overlooking him? I've been a fan since he walked on at Tech

Lol right Sproles was looked at as a savior from the beginning

I was hip to him. Some LATech fan put us on to him early (may have been hsfolk), and he did look legit.
Honestly I was a bit surprised he fell to the 6th round, but knew it was because of his size. But the dude is thick and power lifts (like 400 lbs. dead lifts or squats or something). He can handle a load.
And he's a MUCH better pass catcher than some gave him credit for. He just wasn't asked to do it much in Tech's offense.

I love his shiftiness. The moment we drafted him I had a good feeling about him. I still do. I think we will choose not to resign Ingram next year because of what Scott is going to show us in the next 4 weeks.

I thought Payton would sign Badie and Hilliard from Tulane and give those guys a shot. Both those youngsters were tough runners for Tulane with Hilliard running for over a 1000 yards last season. They both almost made NFL teams with them being in the final cuts on the two teams they tried out for.

Before we drafted him, I was nuts over him.

Kid is short, but a load with legs probably like pilings or something. Dalton Hilliard was short like that, but I saw his legs at a practice one time and just shook my head. LOL

Dude I've been saying this since we first got him, getting downvoted. I think people are starting to realize what we got in him. He would have been a 3rd round pick if he had been in SEC.

That’s not true at all. Most people were terrified we’d keep the OSU bum over Pierre and breathed a sigh of relief when we didn’t.

I remember the melt threads and posts on here. Pittman is one of those players people like use revisionist history on. He had a very good career at OSU and just like Mike Hass seemed like a good pick on paper...but luckily for every Saint fan involved got beat out by a better player in TC/Preseason.
Few UDFA players come with preseason fan fare. First preaseason superstar I remember for the Saints in Sean's tenure was probably Ivory with his violent trucking highlight reels.

I really think we can win 3 of our first 4 without a workhorse but someone to get the short yardage would be great as a rental.
Though Hill in shotgun might be the best on short yardage.
