Like it or not, most enemies are created.

The Mujhadeen. Had we not deserted them there likely wouldn't have been an Al Qaeda or Taliban.

ISIS is a direct response to the Iraqi war.

Hezbollah is a reaction to what they saw as illegal rapid Jewish settling.

Nazis were a reaction to the terms of WW1.

AS much as we want to say it's good vs evil, it's hard to quantify it in that way.

Everyone I listed is an "evil" group, yet it's not like they don't have some validity to their core beliefs.

You have to understand the enemy and know why they are the enemy.
Communism wouldn't had existed had the serfdom system not lasted so long in Russia.
The African warlords are a reaction to the power vacuum left by colonials.

It's not saying any one of these was intentionally created.
Saying that most people have a reason, right or wrong for their actions.

They were a product of the Lebanese civil war, and the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon.

Have we done much better the second time around in Afghanistan? We stayed to establish a government, no?
