Miami QB is garbage. LSU defense will dominate Miami OL all night. Devin White will have a field day. Burrow has his coming out party. Game over.

I bet Burrow throws under 180 yards, and throws 2 interceptions. I am 100% certain that he will face constant pressure, and our veteran CBs and Safteties will negate the LSU passing offense. Burrow will have a long night. You better hope you have a breakout RB from that group.

Funny thing is, if Malik Rosier was at LSU right now he would be your starting QB. Ask yourself, are you more confident in Burrows, guy who could not earn any significant playing time and consistently lost QB battles at OSU, basically a reject with no experience

or

Rosier 31 TDs , big wins, big game experience, better athlete, led team to 10 win season, conference champ., started 10-0 the year prior?

Mind you Rosier was playing injured half the year.

Who are you taking? Lol

Miami is only ranked high because of their severely weak schedule. LSU has the best front 7 in college football. Miami QB will be harassed all night. LSU will not have a problem with Miami's D. We face much better defenses in the SEC. The Tigers are more physical and Miami will wear down in the second half.

You sound like the Notre Dame fans. They said they would wear us down and they were too physical. Well, we slapped them, dominated them the whole game.

You do not have the best front 7 in CFB I don't know if I can take you seriously...

You are underrating Miami severely because of your SEC bias. Fact is SEC is a top heavy conference. You have Bama and Georgie, no one else is elite.

Why do some of you assume Miami defense isn’t good?
Y’all know they led
the country in sacks per game
Top 5 in tfls
Top 10 in yards per play in the country
Lower yards per rush given up than LSU
Lower yards per pass given up than LSU

Only reason why they were ranked #38 in total defense is because of the the amount of plays they defended(14 more than LSU per game).

It’s a bigger disparity when Miami’s defense is on the field vs LSU offense due to lack of experience of LSU compared to when Miami’s offense is on the field as well as LSU’s defense.
Miami played 5 top 25 defenses last year
They score 24 or more in 4 out of 5 of those games even with not having a fully healthy offense . You can say what you wan’t about rosier but the talent surrounding him this year is on a completely different level this year compared to last. Jeff Thomas has taken the next step, Ahmmon Richards is back fully healthy and he’s one of the top 3 receivers in the country if healthy. Travis homer is a beast with elite level athleticism and runs tough. Have 2 true freshman tight ends but they are freaks who ain’t supposed to run like that at the position. Immediate impact guys

First, it usually takes some time for a new QB to gel with his new offense. This is pretty much general consensus in football. The QB will develop more chemistry as the season goes on, and the offense will begin to run more smoothly.

The fact of the matter is, Burrow did not practice with the team in the Spring, as far as I know, and has pretty much only had the fall. This is an issue, especially when facing a defense like Miami.

Second, Burrow lacks proven veteran experience when it comes to his weapons on the field.

So basically you’re saying he’s a true freshman that just came in over the summer with a little Ohio St seasoning, no?

Some true freshman turn out to be pretty good.

I wouldn’t immediately write him off. I think we’re all at the same place you and Miami fans should be. Step back, wait and see.

Do you think we played a tough schedule last season?

Im saying he will be running a new offense with new players at a new school. He has weapons but they are very young or inexperienced. When the success of your entire season hinges on a transfer QB with little game experience that is a less than ideal situation.

Not saying he's bad. We do not know. But history says he will take time to play his best football and the Offense will suffer growing pains early. Miami is not the ideal team to start the season with.

But as you said, we will see, my money is on him struggling

For fricks sake quit focusing on Burrow. No one knows what he’ll be game 1. Focus on the fact that y’all will not be able to do shite against our defense. LSU had a rebuilding year on D last season and still finished as a top 12 defense. No doubt anyone with common sense can see a scenario where Miami wins because there really is no predicting offense but you’re kidding yourself if you think Miami is going to out athlete LSU defense and Malik is going to have his way throughout the game. We’ve been through this too many seasons. We’ll lean on our defense and keep the ball on the ground. We’ll either be able to run the ball or we won’t and that’ll be the game.

Miami played 7 top 40 defenses in the country, 5 top 25.

Better offenses overall that LSU played against last year on defense...

Clemson #2
Notre Dame #3
Wisconsin#6
Virginia tech #13
FSU
Yeah that’s such a weak schedule

Defensive stats are inflated from playing inferior offenses. Miami had a weak schedule. LSU defense will dominate. Miami QB won't do anything.

I think it is very fair to say that we have much more talent on Offense that LSU does on theirs

At this point the only way to measure talent would be to go off of recruiting rankings (4 major recruiting services) . I only included the highest ranking for each individual player and omitted the lowest. Starters only (just for kicks).

LSU Miami
QB Burrow 4* ESPN, Scout, 247. QB Rozier 3* Unanimous
RB. Brossette 4* 247, ESPN. RB Homer 4* 247, ESPN
WR Giles. 3* Unanimous WR A Richards 4* Unanimous
WR T Marshall. 5* Unanimous WR. J Thomas 4* Unanimous
WR J Chase 4* ESPN, Rivals WR L Cager. 4*. Rivals
LT S Charles 4* Rivals, Scout. LT. T St Louis. 4* Unanimous
LG G Brumfield 4* Unanimous LG. J Jones 3*. ESPN, 247
C. Cushenberry 3* Unanimous C. T Gauthier. 3* Unanimous
RG D Lewis. 3* 247, Rivals RG. H Mahoney. 3* Rivals,Scout, 247
RT A Magee. 4* 247, ESPN. RT N Donaldson 4* Unanimous
TE F Moreau 3* 247. TE. B Jordan. 4* ESPN, 247, Rivals

LSU Average * Rating 3.72 Miami Average * Rating 3.6

So it’s a lot closer than you think . I feel like both LSU & Miami both have lights out Defenses with the slight edge possibly leaning towards LSU because of better Depth . It would be interesting to do the same research (defense only)

Miami ain't done shite since the season after Butch left; that ole Larry Conrad took over and won it, but then it all went to hell. And I've been watching Mark Rickt for many years. He ain't shite. Miami ain't shite.

LSU lost to Troy , Mark Richt is better than your coach. LSU has superior talent every year and consistently shits the bed. Either players are overrated or your program is just not good from the top down.

LSU ain't shite.

That's a fact.

I still say Mark Rickt ain't shite and Miami ain't shite.
