Yeah, if Hakeem counts, it's Hakeem. His peak raises legit questions about whether he could have beaten peak MJ in the Finals.
Dirk if Hakeem doesn't count. No disrespect to others, but those are two guys who were MVP level in their prime, won rings and put together long, great careers.
Players like Manu lack the MVP level peak. Sabonis was supposed to be good, but we never saw his prime vs top shelf competition.

Dream could make a good argument he's the best player to ever play basketball because he was an elite defender, unstoppable scorer, could shoot from outside some, and handle the basketball and dribble, there was almost nothing he couldn't do
