I was watching the highlights earlier and at the 1:22 mark we sacked Auburn’s quarterback for a safety. What I failed to noticed all these years was that whistle sound everybody heard and he thought the play was dead. It wouldn’t have mattered because they still needed a touchdown to win and I wish we went back to the black cleats. Also, I miss the true tiger fans in tiger stadium who cared about their program and wanted to make it a living hell for the other team. Seeing all the cups flying in the air at the end of the game compared to our empty stadium now is depressing.

Run the program competently and stop nickel and diming us and it will go right back to that.

If we ever get Scott Woodward to come back I think he can make a lot of changes to bring the fans back.

My Freshman year. Was awesome sitting in the student section for that game. Especially because back then the ROTC had a reserved section right in front of the Golden Girls.

Posted a sound clip of Twillie's INT earlier today.

Was a great moment to be in TS...especially in the ss.

The student section was awesome that night. One of my best memories in Tiger Stadium.

Man, that video reminds me of old Tiger Stadium, and how loud it used to be.

I don't care how many more seats there are today, Tiger Stadium doesn't sound like that anymore... sustained, ear-rattling noise.

The other thing it reminds me of is Jamie Howard. That poor kid caught hell for losing to Auburn in the interception game under Curley Hallman, and winning that game was as much a redemption for him as it was for LSU as a program.

The magic came back that night, no doubt about it. Good times.

100% the most underrated game in Tiger Stadium history.

No TV for this game other than PPV. It was hot as hell and as sticky as a sucker that had been under the car seat for three days. Iirc it was Gerrys first home game. He wanted it at night.

All summer long he pushed it as the Bring back the magic night. Crowd was lit from start to finish. The whistle OP spoke of was a aubie complaint for years.

The team wasn't great but played hard really all year and in a round about way this game could be seen as the start of the golden era. Even with the two disasters to end DiNardo, this game IMO showed many what LSU could be.

95 team had some talent. Hallman did bring in talent just didn’t do anything with it.

I disagree. Times have changed and sports attendance across the country has been in a decline. That was a long time ago. People are just different nowadays.

As was I and probably many on here.

It's depressing watching that. I'm talking about the crowd noise then in comparison to the current Alleva created "Golf & Tennis" type crowd atmosphere.

All you hear is a constant roar of various decibels made by LSU fans yelling.

No PIM garbage. Just classic LSU fan noise and TGBFTL; the way it should be!
