What is a good way to rid my yard of chipmunks?

I have tried a few "humane" traps but they seem too smart for them.

Next step?

Get the one with the glasses first. He’s a clever bastard. When he’s dead the fat one should fall apart emotionally. The one in the red shirt is a wildcard but at least by then it will be 1 on 1.

Mauler cat is the answer here. Keep it outside and feed it just enough to keep it around and hungry enough to eat chipmunks.

My mauler cat keeps a four yard radius clear of those vermin.

I had a friend with squirrel problems at his house and he would dispatch them with ease with a 410 and rat shot.

Gamo or a cat should do the job

burrows all in the yard and planting areas. Just being chipmunks.

I am loving these responses though.

In what way are tiny chipmunks causing you strife?
Geez, let them be.
