wouldn't basically every program be on shaky ground if they had their top 2 qb's injured?
Look at what happened to mighty FSU last year when they lost their starting QB...I wonder if they had articles posted prior to the season about how they were on shaky ground

If Burrow gets injured or struggles, and if Brennan can not take up the reins in a satisfactory fashion, and if McMillan leaves as well, the Tigers would be left with precious few other options.
If this happens, I’m sure we could use one of our receivers as a QB. I’m sure a lot of them were QBs in high school...

Rabelais behaving like a drama queen, maybe he should be covering lady gymnastics.

Yes, and that’s with them going to what is most likely a very young and inexperienced scholarship player.
So us having to go a very young and inexperienced walk on, or someone converted from another position, would put us where?

I totally disagree.
With Narcisse transferring the LSU offense can now focus on a totally pro-style offense. I know that run-pass-option type offenses offer different challenges for defenses however you have to be a special kind of athlete to be successful and remain injury free in that type of offense, a la Cam Newton, Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Tim Tebow, etc. Those kinds of athletes just don't come along that often and unfortunately when they do come available they seem to go elsewhere besides LSU.
Narcisse kind of reminds me of Auburn's Jeremy Johnson. Remember when Auburn tried to fit Jeremy Johnson into the Cam Newton run-pass-option offense? Yeah, it didn't work out too well. Jeremy Johnson was just not the athlete that Cam is/was and I just get the impression that Narcisse is not durable enough to run that type of offense for the entire season.
I know this seems like bad news, however this will turn out being a good decision for both LSU and Narcisse. I respect him for his decision. It will turn out well for both parties.

OMG! O wants to play the best QB and other QB's on the roster don't like that concept. Hey transfer to Alabama since NS always just plays next man up and not the best player on the roster.....Oh wait. Jalen Hurtz might be transferring out when he isn't named starting QB.
Our season is on the brink? We haven't even snapped the ball yet. How over dramatic. It's an important season for a lot of reasons...coaching job, AD job, determines whether the program is heading upward or downward. But it is not a season on the brink. Season on the brink would be Auburn game in Miles last year.

Because you're making that assumption before anything ever happens. You cant acknowledge something that hasn't happened.

"a season on the brink just got brinkier". Give me a f___ing break. Who in the hell have we lost to to be on the brink of a precarious season? Someone please notify Saban that his season is on the brink because they haven't played a game yet. That dribble should be an embarrassment for a wanna be sports writer who seems to be striving for applause and recognition from the negative chicken littles who secretly are hoping for a total collapse of this season. His dribble implies that is his agenda.

LSU’s season on the brink? Sports reporters and political reporters must be graduates from the school.

Right. It is a ridiculous statement by Rabalais especially given the fact that NS would likely never see the field this year.
The deciding factor for NS leaving was the depth chart situation. He was likely number four.

That's a lot of ifs. Worrying about not having a 3rd string QB is idiotic.
Our season would be over no matter how many QBs are on the roster if they need to play 3 QBs.

Rabalais must be the Guru for Negatigers.

It’s ridiculous when you consider Saban’s QB issues, are Alabama’s reporters getting this dramatic there?
Posted on 8/15/18 at 8:50 am to TrueTigerTale
The season on the brink seems like a stretch. We are thin at a position where we were deep. If Burrow stays healthy and is decent it won't matter much.
Posted on 8/15/18 at 8:56 am to TrueTigerTale
So he's transferring to a school which doesn't have multiple, talented QBs ? Good luck.

in the same position as almost every team in the country...in other words this article isn't necessary

if Burrow gets injured, we're in trouble regardless of who is our no. 2. All 3 of our other guys aren't ready.

Rabalais is probably one of the most fair reporters out there.

There are very few college football programs who can succeed if QB1 and QB2 go down.
Ohio State did it. Clemson and Bama could probably still be very good.
The ability to win with the next man in line is what makes programs elite.
