Yet barely .500 since the All Star break and probably should be worse. Pitching is subpar and it's pretty obvious it's not improving even with Hamels.

Maybe not. But as of right now the Cubs are the best team in the national league, have the highest OBP in baseball, the highest BA, most runs scored, highest OPS in the national league.

So yeah, we sucked. For a long time. I watched, on WGN no less. We lost 100 games, we finished last...a bunch. But since 2015 the Cubs have consistently been in the mix. So excuse us for celebrating, for supporting our team. Just because we support our team doesn't mean we're discrediting the success of other teams. We're just excited about OUR team.

Good for you? Team is still flawed and will lose the division to the Cards in the last week of the season, book it.

I don't discount that possibility, in fact I find it amazing the Cubs are where they are given the state of the starting pitching staff.

Last year Jake and Hendricks rebounded strongly with stellar second halves after struggling up to the break.

The Cubs record at the break this year was significantly better than last years, but there has really not been the rebound from guys like Hendricks and Q I would have hoped for and now Lester is free-falling.

Joe keeps Kumbaya-ing like it's gonna fall in place...but we're 110 games in...concern is legit.

But the bullpen has been strong and the lineup producing as the rankings would suggest, even without Bryant. But at this point it's hard to see the starters suddenly flip the switch. And that's a legit concern.

The quickness in which Cardinals fans have developed little brother syndrome has been pretty impressive.
I have and always will hate the Cardinals. I grew up on Racine and Eddy a few blocks from Wrigley. I went to High School in Belleville.
I don't agree with your sentiment at all. Do you even live in St. Louis ? The hate is mutual, be it in Chicagoland or the St. Louis metro.
Y'all have just lost your minds because you're on the losing side now.

Nah look at our lineup today. Still stacked even with Shaw / Thames on the bench. How did MKE pull this off?

This is a big market AL type of lineup. StL is a lock for 3rd unless Cubs collapse.

The only fan bases that contend with the Cardinals for the countiest in sports, are Cowboys, Lakers, and Ohio State.

Nothing like a series against the Royals to get that swag feeling.

Cardinals and Cubs fans are equally horrible. Just deal with it.
