Although Les had his fair share of transfers, CEO had many when he was hired that depleted his depth on the O-Line. And as I said, the DL and OL, most were recruited by Les. Fehoko (hasn't played yet for us) and Chaisson were committed after Les was fired. Most of the two deep is from Les. Do your homework.

Because of injuries and transfers. Injuries I can't blame on a guy no longer there and transfers I can't blame on a guy that happened when he was fired.

I don't understand why people don't get a simple concept.

It's easier to blame the last coach than to face the idea that the current coach may just not be the man for the job.

There are people here that still blame the Troy loss on injuries.

It's crazy, they use injuries as an excuse for the loss, but then blame the last coach because the players he recruited got injured after he left?

many are stating CEO has to rebuild the talent due to Les leaving the cupboard bare

I'll read further after you link a fair number of examples of this... Because I don't see that to be the narrative at all.

I guess I was a fool to think we were doing what other teams have been doing for 20 years. Sorry, all hail O.

Say all u want but LSU had major holes on the lines and at Lber. And the Dline rec just wasn’t good. Guys like Gilmore Herron CL just weren’t elite Sec DL. Gg did have a solid senior year and was a great Tiger I loved GG but he wasn’t that dominant force we need to change games. Dupree Dural were never quite what Lsu WR’s have been n past. Look we have anywhere from 5-6 transfers that will be crucial to a decent year. That kinda says it all doesn’t it ? Lots of holes had to be filled. And O should be commended for not waiting around on freshman to develop and went and found seasoned vets

Here's some stuff that was posted before last season.

This is from Dandy Don
quote:

There’s a ton of depth and talent up front, literally: Building depth has been an ongoing process on the defensive line since Ed Orgeron joined the staff in 2015 as D-line coach, but this season seems to be the first season when the Tigers will reap the benefits of this focus. It’s been said that LSU is very comfortable with a three-man rotation up front, which includes four seniors – LaCouture, Greg Gilmore in the middle, and veterans Frank Herron and Deondre Clark as backups on the ends. Ed Alexander adds quality depth at the nose, giving LSU the deepest D-line its had in a while.

And this is from AL.com who had LSU has the 3rd best offensive line in the SEC.
quote:

3. LSU

As always, the Tigers have talent on the offensive front. Former All-SEC guard Will Clapp is now at center, and is a third-team preseason all-conference pick. Left tackle K.J. Malone made the second team in the preseason. A big loss is starting guard Maea Teuhema, who was suspended for academic reasons, then transferred.

Seems like they thought the offensive and defensive lines were just fine when before last season.

Right now talent isn't an issue. This isn't a rebuilding year, so Orgeron will have to put together a good season. I'm not buying the talent being down yet

I don't think the talent is down this year and haven't really seen it said on here either but then I don't spend 24/7 on here.

Seems we don't have any weak position groups this season on the one hand, but going into the season we maybe have less big time difference makers than a lot of other years. ON defense we have 2 big time players in Greedy and White. On offense nobody really stands out as being big time players. But we do have solid players across the board on both sides of the ball and solid depth and there will be players who emerge into being more than just 'solid'.

This year's success will largely depend on qb play. Even more so than the past several years when we had a dominant RB. Luckily we have more than one option if a qb is having a terrible game.

Our depth on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball were depleted after Miles left

This was mainly due to transfers on the offensive line. But also miles preferred 4 guards because of the run heavy offense.

But there was not a lack of recruiting. There were something like 8 or 9 lineman transfers after miles was fired.

But change the narrative to we have no talent.

Our fan base sometimes really irks me

If you read my post I discussed what has to take place in order for CEO to have success. Develop and replenish personnel depth and execute vision.

Areas that Les struggle at resulting in his firing.

I reject this premise. Orgeron was skewered for that loss. What the hell are you talking about?

Well they didn't say it last season until the losses started rolling in.
