Absolutely Terrible NCAA14 Season Simulation

First off I apologize for the length of this thread. I know a lot of people have made threads like these already, but I just wanted to share this because it was quite entertaining. Even though it’s only a video game, watching this was frustrating as hell and many of the games legit pissed me off. The one positive that would result from a season like this would be getting to watch the rant explode due to angry tirades from the fan base. But here’s a little game to game break down on how the season went...
GAME 1: vs Miami
Really frustrating game to watch. Burrow and the offense struggle immensely, and we finished the first quarter with only two yards of total offense as each drive was a three and out. The defense was tremendous, however, holding Miami to a 3-0 halftime lead by virtue of a good punt return. The second half picked up a little bit, as CEH took a screen pass 40 yards to the house and Burrow ran one in himself to make it a 14-3 game going into the 4th. Miami kicked two more field goals, including one with thirty seconds to go to make it a 14-9 game. On the onside kick attempt, Michael Divinity recovered the ball and tried to run with it. He was hit hard by a Miami player and fumbled, which was recovered by Miami and returned inside the 5 yard line. Malik Rosier then found the tight end who hadn’t done crap all game wide the hell open for the game winning score 16-14.
GAME 2: Southeastern
Not much to talk about here, Burrow was much improved, throwing for over 300 yards. We won the game 48-7, and Thaddeus Moss was the MVP with five catches for 105 yds and two scores.
GAME 3: at Auburn
Quite the shittastic performance here. I had to bench Burrow for Brennan because he threw two picks on his first two passing attempts, one of which was returned for an AU TD. CEH and Chris Curry each had solid games, but we ended up losing 34-17. The game wasn’t as close as the score indicated.
GAME 4 LA Tech:
Slow start for the Tigers, we actually trailed 10-3 at half and at this point it’s looking like Orgeron might get fired mid game. However, the offense comes alive in the second half, Burrow throws for three scores, Neil Farrell returns a fumble for a touchdown on a botched option play, and the Tigers pull it out 35-13.
GAME 5: Ole Miss
No idea what happened here. Jordan Ta’amu looks like a Heisman candidate and no one in the secondary can stop A.J. Brown as the Rebels roll to a 41-28 victory. Burrow and Stephen Sullivan at least played well, but the defense was definitely to blame for this loss.
GAME 6: at Florida
Much improved in this game. Felipe Franks looks like dog shite once again and the inconsistent Tigers roll the Gators 24-7. Jonathan Giles has a coming out party here as he scores all three touchdowns, one of which comes on a punt return.
GAME 6: Georgia
The Tigers use the momentum from their big road victory to their advantage in this one junping out to a 17-10 halftime lead thanks in part to CEH’s 120 all purpose yards in the first half. However, the offense struggles yet again in the second half, and our only points come on a Chaisson safety. Georgia takes a 20-19 lead late, but the CEH returns the ensuing kick return for a game winning touchdown. Unfortunately, a bullshite clipping call on Jacob Phillips negates the score and the tigers lose yet again.
GAME 7: Mississippi State
This game was reminiscent of 2014, as Nick Fitzgerald runs wild on the LSU D putting the Bulldogs ahead 28-6 heading into the 4th. Joe Burrow scores on an 80 yard option keeper, however, MSU’s defense prevails and we lose 28-14.
GAME 8: Alabama
This was the absolute worst of them all. Despite our crappy season, Alabama had an arguably even more disappointing start by racking up two baffling losses to Louisville and Arkansas. LSU takes an early lead as Ed Paris of all people returns two interceptions for touchdowns. However, Alabama blocks the PAT on the second pick six and returns it, making it 13-2 at the half. LSU holds onto that score until there are 27 seconds remaining in the ball game. On fourth and ten from their own 47 yard line, Alabama is able to score their first TD of the game, as Tua hits Henry Ruggs on a 53 yard bomb. We once again sctew up on an easily recoverable onside kick, and Alabama is able to get the ball back with 10 seconds remaining. On the last play of the game, Tua rolls around and heaves one to the end zone where some white tight end is standing completely uncovered for the game winning Hail Mary. 15-13 the Tide continues the streak and I nearly break my controller.
At that point I was done watching that crap so I just simulated the rest of the games without having to actually watch. We ended up winning out the rest of the year, preserving our streak against the Aggies and finishing with a 6-6 record. We then went to the Birmingham Bowl where we eaked out a win against Navy. No way Orgeron would survive a season like that.

So this simulation including Alabama losing to Louisville and Arkansas?
I wouldn’t put too much stock into it bud.

Oh I’m not. I fully expect our team to be much better than 6-6 this season.

You don’t have to believe it but I’m just recounting what I experienced

Did you create the rosters or did you download them from someone?

I feel sad for you if you got pissed at a video game simulation. Really sad. I hope you seek help... or actual friends... whichever is more easily accessible to you.

That game hates LSU.
When I play on dynasty mode, I usually like to pick a bottom tier team and build them up but I will pay attention to what they simulate LSU to do.
They usually have us going like 4-8 or 6-6.

Well hell, won't be watching any football this fall.

That actually sounds realistic until you get to Bama having two losses before us. And did you actually watch all of that? What the hell, dude?

it's a video game, Dave. Your time would've been much better spent reading a book or taking a walk.
Wait for the actual, real-life games - then we'll know.

Yeah, but the good news is we created our own 5 star prospects with all 99 ratings and have the #1 rated class for next year, so we stacked

I dont think Southeastern is in NCAA14. Did you use an FCS team?
Posted on 7/25/18 at 3:11 pm to lsudave1
