That is just copy and pasted from Pro Football Focus, and presented without comment. Thanks for the downvote, though.

In pass defense.
And that probably doesn’t take into account complete whiffs and bad angles where he put himself out of position to make a play.
Go watch the UF and Notre Dame games again and tell me how reliable this guy is.

No downvote here. I was just asking

That just happens to be the ones Donte Jackson blew the coverage and the WR went for TD'S also. Not saying it was JB but do remember losing those games

I know you are probably speaking generally here, but just to clarify - I am not arguing for or against John here. I remembered that picture from a couple of weeks ago and thought it should be posted for this conversation.

I think there’s something to be said for experience in the secondary, especially at the safety position. Battle may be the least talented of the players being discussed in the thread, but he’s not going to be prone to making mistakes.
With the way Aranda uses secondary players, I see all of those guys playing in various roles this season.

Todd Harris gonna be a great player for us too

I think so as well. Man we are stacked at safety. I would love to see Harris, Delpit and Stevens out there when they all get the defense down. Monroe is a good player as well, hopefully all these guys have progressed.
I remember Aranda saying that Harris was an advanced safety for an incoming freshman and he just seems to play with great awareness, which I believe is invaluable. I'm hoping this defense as a whole plays with more awareness. Creating TOs, recovering fumbles when it's on the ground, stripping the ball and just create havoc out there.
A defense that creates lots of TOs can really help that offense. If we can improve there on defense and score TDs in the RZ on offense then this team will win lots of games.

People on here rather see the other guys because they had higher star rankings.
John Battle has played a lot since day 1 and will be needed on the field for his leadership. He's goin to play weather fans like it or not

One of the best open field tacklers in Cfb. He’s a veteran and contrary to what many on here believe will make our defense better. Delpit Monroe Battle Harris. We good at S. Not sure where JaCoby fits in but I think Todd Harris is the name to watch

Lol. Ok. U obviously didn’t do any research on this. He’s Statistically one of the better tacklers in CFB

I’d rather ask Aranda than the rant
Posted on 7/5/18 at 10:14 pm to FLBooGoTigs1
battle coming back for his fifth year only to see the bench if seniority means nothing

Honestly looking at some stats he hasn't been bad
Pretty terrible way to assess a football player, especially a defensive back.

Yeah and JB doesn’t come and help out in coverage and the gets fricking trucked and all people ever remember is Donte Jackson.
