Another option that might be politically smart is to beef up the enforcement of existing laws. Expand the fire arms division of the ATF for example. No new laws needed for that. Would you have a problem with that?

The problem isn't with the ATF. It's with shitty judges in places like NOLA where they let criminals slide on gun crimes. I know people who have quit NOPD because of it.
