Arming school teachers is out of the question because the teachers don't want it
BTW it's already happening Putz.

Take no final position himself. Declare you unreasonable by throwing ideas out there and testing you.
Trust me. He didn't ignore this post from me by accident
Could you possibly be any more self absorbed?
I really give 2 fricks about what your dumb arse has to say and the last thing I would do is hide from one of your little bitch arguments

If I were trying to preserve gun rights I don't know if I'd be announcing such a thing in light of all of the mass shootings
Your suggestion that we give up some rights to keep others is a failure waiting to happen.

Don't be mad you're busted

Ok then

My position is that your position is flawed.
The leaders of the left stated it will be a slow process to totally end gun ownership.
They know the end goal and are more vocal and more focused.
The real issue is that the right continues to play by a different set of rules.

Pman gets very mad when he tries to rig a debate and you don't let him

Another option that might be politically smart is to beef up the enforcement of existing laws. Expand the fire arms division of the ATF for example.
The problem isn't with the ATF. It's with shitty judges in places like NOLA where they let criminals slide on gun crimes. I know people who have quit NOPD because of it.

How is anything being rigged?
I'm suggesting that the right wing is being politically stupid on this issue and it will likely backfire when democrats are back in power.
The way to mitigate that is to propose your own legislation, get it passed, and if you can't get it passed throw the dems under the bus.

He really seems to crave being seen as this great outside-the-box thinker, when the reality is, he’s very limited.
Then when his arguments get poked full of holes, he gets angry. Follows the same pattern almost every time.

I'll take you on your word on that
Perhaps that's an angle that needs to be addressed
Put mandatory minimum sentencing in place for violation of these laws and relax them elsewhere for non violent offenses.

If you propose 0 solutions to a problem, eventually people start considering you part of the problem right or wrong.
Once again, this is tough to do with people presenting an emotional argument. You're basically starting out in a no win situation.
It's like people saying, "you need to die" so you compromise by willingly cutting your arms and legs off. You're technically still alive, but you're pretty much worthless and at the mercy of those same people again.

So you see evidence that the right is being stupid on this.
I don't and will be glad to examine your evidence on this.
I would imagine the revenge when dems are back in power will go far beyond what you imagine will happen.

Like I said, it's why you have to be the proactive one so you aren't playing defense against an emotional argument.
Propose your own solutions and let them play defense.

He's basically just taking the "lets prove you unreasonable by only talking about middle stuff"
This allows the other side to pretend they're reasonable despite the fact that their answer to the below questing is 100% no.
"If i give you what you want now, and gun violence continues, are you going to be satisfied to stick with what we've agreed to?"

No new legislation needs to be passed.
Enforce what's already on the books.
line in the dirt.

5-10-20 laws passed years ago here in Florida. Still not enough for some.

Once again, we'll run into the racism and disparity as well as the "We have too many people in jail" crowd.
I think the only real way to effectively get a message out there is a reasonable 3rd party who doesn't play the emotion game.
