Do you need to go on a crusade against that too?

What a Utopia that would be.

Do you have nightmares of women in powerful roles?
Or a parent winning an award?
Do these dreams wake you up in a cold sweat?
Agree that babysitting is as heroic as military combat or:
-you hate women
-you hate children
-you hate parents
-you sweat at night
Are you backing away from this now because you realized how retarded you looked?

But why?
I’m having a hard time understanding why family-oriented commercials/images from USAA piss people off so much. This is just bizarre to me.

I don't get "mad" at any of this. I find these discussions amusing though. And I find your childlike approach to discussion and your inability to reason kind of sad.

I think there are alot of men that would rather be the one that is in the military, than the one who stays home.
I for one would be one

I honestly would rather face gunfire
You said you would rather face gunfire than be at home with a child. That says everything about you and nothing about the difficulties of parenting vs being at war.
I hope your child gets your wife's genetics.

He needs to ask some Vietnam combat vet "Would you have rather been in Nam or at home with your children by yourself?"
We were losing 10-20 men every day.

Well he looks exactly like her
But he has my huge head and feet
So we will see

My grandfather was in Korea. He doesn't like talking about what went on there or some of the things he saw, but he'll talk about the guys he fought with. He tears up but he likes to tell me their names and what they were like.
He thinks he had it bad, he has no idea how bad things were back at home in the US. Lots of diapers to change. There were even times the milk delivery was late.

Like 99% of the world's ills, blame social media
I know a girl who recently started a military wife blog. She's actually a really good person, but the fact that you have time to write 8 page blog posts in perfect prose and fill up Facebook with commentary on which military installation has which advantages for mothers of small children sort of belies the idea that you're overwhelmed by keeping the home fires burning.

I've only noticed this in one USAA commercial (not sure if there are multiple variations) but didn't have a problem with the way it was presented.
This is probably a horrible analogy since I've never served in the military but it can be harder to watch your kids in a stressful situation than to be in it yourself. I'm sure that the stress of a military spouse not knowing what's going on with their husband on the other side of the globe is very difficult.
