quote:
Vice President Mike Pence’s physician, Army Dr. Jennifer Pena, resigned from the White House Wednesday according to several senior Administration officials. Pena’s resignation comes just as the allegations she brought against President Trump’s physician Adm. Ronny Jackson were proven to be unsubstantiated. The onslaught of unfounded allegations – also propagated by Montana Sen. Jon Tester – led to Jackson’s decision to withdraw his name from consideration after being nominated by Trump to lead the Veteran’s Affairs Administration.

More to the story coming out on Twitter ... evidently she was indeed at risk of being sent to some remote duty station if she did not resign ... which allowed her to keep her retirement rather than facing the possibility of UCMJ action against her.
She's also likely to be sued in Civil Court by Jackson ... and she'll lose that in all likelihood.
She's bitten off more than she can chew. This is not over for her by a longshot. She's in trouble for years to come. She'll no doubt end up either in private practice or working for a hospital somewhere in the meantime but she's going to have this following her around for awhile.

Anyone want to bet the VA hires her?

Retiring doesn't shield you from court martial. But , as I said the other day, that isn't going to happen.

That’s a big price to pay just because you wanted to #Resist.

I can absolutely positively guarantee you that will not happen.
She was technically working under the auspices of the V.A. in the position she held ... from which she has now been forced to resign.

We're talking about the Government here; all common sense bets are off

She'll get a cushy gig from some liberal company who thinks what she did was brave and heroic.

You mean this one?

From the second one (ostensibly published in 2010):
I only say "ostensibly" because I find it mind boggling that this is out there on this woman for years and she ends up being personal physician to the VP.

From the second one (ostensibly published in 2010):
quote:
According to the subsequent investigation, Dr. Pena had unsuccessfully sought a romantic relationship with Dr. Czr while she was engaged to her first fiancé. However, during the investigation, she falsely claimed she wanted nothing but a professional relationship with Dr. Czr and that she had rejected his advances numerous times. Yet she had divulged personal matters in her life such as her induction into Yale’s Skull and Bones Society, her mother losing her job, and her fiancé’s infidelity. In addition, Dr. Pena shared with Dr. Czr a childhood story when her father, a formal army pharmacist, asked the judge at a custody hearing why should he pay child support when he knew his daughters would grow up to be prostitutes. Finally, records show that Dr. Czr and his wife reported that Dr. Pena was pursuing to break up Dr. Czr’s marriage and had bought Dr. Czr a gift during this same time period that Dr. Pena was allegedly sexually harassed. In the investigation, Dr. Czr stated that Dr. Pena began making frightening comments to him such as she hoped that his wife would have something “bad happen” so she could be with Dr. Czr and that Dr. Pena claimed she could be a better mother than his wife.
I only say "ostensibly" because I find it mind boggling that this is out there on this woman for years and she ends up being personal physician to the VP.

And it'll never be reported by the MSM.

I know ... I get it, but it would appear that she was given the ultimatum to resign or face doing duty in Timbuktu until her trial came-up ... she could very easily still be brought up on charges under UCMJ and probably should, although I too doubt that will ever happen because 1) she's a woman and 2) she is protected to some degree under Federal Whistleblower statutes.
But she is definitely not out of the woods, nowhere near. Her pain in the arse karma kickback is just beginning and it should be epic.
This was no small crime she committed and it's an even bigger deal in the military among officers.
Jackson has her by her twat right now and I doubt he is going to let-go anytime soon.

I guess I was wrong. The MSM is reporting it. But here's how they frame it...
poor Dr. Pena raised concern and is being unfairly punished.

Pence's physician had raised concerns about ex-VA secretary nominee and current presidential physician Dr. Ronny Jackson. -

And I believe this woman knew she was risking her career over bullshite. Someone is probably going to take real good care of her later on down the line with a cushy civilian job that has a big paycheck for little work. She did her job, she prevented Jackson from becoming the VA Secretary.

Fox News and the AP have reached out to Pena for comment but she is not returning calls.
She's likely going into hiding for awhile hoping the smoke clears ... but she's in way over her head.
No doubt women's rights groups and Latino rights groups are running to her rescue right now. Wouldn't surprise me to see her start a GoFundMe page before too long.
