Real reason for Mcshay leaking that Guice is dropping to 4th RD

This is a response by NFL string pullers because Guice leaked the messed up questions that arrogant power-tripping Gm's and coaches were asking him in interviews.
Think about the timeline. No character issues, "experts" argue Guice to be first round pick and top 2 RB off the board.
Guice doesnt play politics, he is too real. He leaked sensitive information about the interview process, which was the right thing to do but very risky.
That made GM's, coaches, the whole NFL and process look badly. They let it cool off for awhile so as not to seem reactionary.
Now the figurehead that is spoonfed information as a mouth piece is saying Guice will fall due to bad interviews and missed meetings - unsubstantiated garbage, but gives the public enough dumb reason to doubt.
They are gonna send Guice a message and it makes me sick. I hate the NFL and all its politics. Non profit league my arse
Im pullin for Guice, and as long as he stays true like he is, he will have a good life. The rest can go to hell....

There is no chance he drops to the 4th round

Guice will be well gone prior to the fourth round.
GM's aren't going to pass on a player who can help them keep their job just to send a message.

Keeping it real goes wrong sometimes.
I'd worry about making money over making a point. People in his position don't have a lot of time to make their money.

I doubt it also, but its like what Sankey did with the SEC over Hugh Freeze. He has the power to veto if necessary. You look at the importance of the integrity of the SEC over one the wants of one university in that situation.
There are certain issues where strings can be pulled and teams wont touch someone if the NFL deems it so, but it has to be egregious.
Guice is a stand-up young man. I know enough of him to know he is just raw and real - tells it like it is. That said, he is playful, silly, hard-working, loyal and most importantly what you see is what you get.
He likely pissed off a few GM's who asked him those ridiculous questions. Those few GM's likely leaked that info directly to McShay on purpose, and once he hears it from a few different teams - he runs with it as gospel.
He likely wont fall to the fourth round, but they do hope to throw doubt onto his image enough for some teams to stay away and to make some sort of statement.

Unfortunately, there is a very realistic chance of this happening because the NFL DGAF and think their shat don't stink. They would much rather keep a young guy from making his full potential earnings in order to be the tough guy in the room. It's like the NFL people are the guys at the gym wearing TapOut clothing and are all huge but can't take a punch to the face very well...

Do we know if he likes women yet?
Posted on 4/25/18 at 1:10 pm to BillyBobBlitzkrieg
I still think Darell Williams is going to have a better NFL career than Guice.

I doubt that he makes it past the second round

Some people's values arent for sale. He grew up poor, which makes sticking to his guns even more impressive and admirable IMO.
I dont worship the almighty dollar. He grew up poor, and money comes and goes, but no one can take away your character unless you give him permission.
Im glad he kept it real - those assholes deserve to be put on blast for implying that his mom was a prostitute, then prodding if he likes dudes.
If you ask the wrong person in the street that shite, youll have to swallow some of your own teeth. Power tripping end-all-be-all bastards acting like gods.

He kept it so real that he walked back those accusations.

Well who gets to decide the lucky team that grabs him in the 4th round?
You are either blackballed or you aren’t. At the end of the day he is a football player, a talented one that will make almost any team better.

Exactly. Reminds me of Xerxes pyscho power trip in 300, and Guice just pulled a Leonidas throwing the spear to see him bleed.

Guice is one of 22 players invited to attend the draft in person. That doesn't happen if the NFL is pulling strings to punish him.

I forgot to include that in my OP, thanks for the reminder. Obviously, someone talked to him and he crawfished.
What is more likely? Guice is the type to make that stuff up out of thin air for attention, or he still has a little too much street in him for the NFL's taste, and he talked real without thinking?
Someone checked him, and this is all part of it.

If he's at peace with the way he handled the draft process then that's all that matters.
But fair or not, teams have the right to respond to that the way they see fit. If he didn't mind his bank account being a little lighter then it was worth it.
Part of being in the NFL is representing the team in the way they want you to.

The real reason is to keep LSU out of the first round.
Posted on 4/25/18 at 1:17 pm to BillyBobBlitzkrieg
He should have kept his mouth shut. Nothing to gain and everything to lose by sharing insight.

He was attention whoring, like when he self-promoted his “life-saving heroics”.
