for the people who say Orgeron has never been known to be a good recruiter,
there is a massive difference between recruiting for Pete Carroll's program and recruiting for your own program.
O has never had a top 14 recruiting class for his own program.

Much better execution of the offense
that tends to happen when youre a power run game offense and you play the 89th,117th,and 119th ranked run defenses in cfb.
how did we do against the 2 defenses with a pulse?

And yet in Miles final season we were still a top 5 program expected to compete.

You're not going to win championships with a marginal signal caller who can't throw under pressure when he HAS to.

yes we know this
we just don't know if O can turn it around and bring to an elite level again
this is where we are as a program 'we don't know, we just hope "

Everybody knows it started before Ed O, but the problem isn't when it started but the complete lack of having a competent administration to fix it.

O's about to have a season that Miles never had here.
I need to take your dumb arse to Vegas. You're so sure this is fixing to happen maybe you do some "predicting" for me out there.

I've said 7-5 most likely, 8-4 best case, 6-6 floor. I don't hide from that.
If I'm way off I'll face the music.

fine....makes sense.
But your alluded to a losing season...in which case O would/should be terminated immediately.
Unfortunately, 7-5/6-6 may not get him fired.

How?
It seems like status quo
------------------------------
IMO, O accelerates it every time he opens his mouth before he thinks or asks around to tell him what to say. He doesn't know what he wants as concerns an offensive scheme. Not having that specificity shuts down recruits that are comfortable with a certain style and approach to play.
If he did what he promised; to hire the best Coordinators and then let him coach to the style that they excelled at, then O wouldn't be accelerating the downward spiral at the current pace we presently are.
O let his ego get in the way. He wasn't smart enough to stand back and let Canada work his scheme, recognizing there were going to be growing pains, but that the players were buying into it and learning and we'd see proof of results in 2018 and beyond. O wasn't willing to let the team take some on the chin while getting the future QB critical experience. O cared more about winning in 2017 and to hell with the future. When O let his pride get in the way ["I'm the head coach and what I say goes"] that's when the wheels started falling off the cart as concerns QB recruiting, forcing a change of OC, creating an environment where a highly successful OC wouldn't want to come to LSU to play under O, etc.
So, today we continue rolling down the road with no clear offensive direction and the aim to not make a decision on a starting QB until just before game time against Miami. How can that happen when you have three different QBs with pretty much different strengths to how they play? Doing so will continue to perpetuate acceleration.
