Again, not all, but way more than there should be.


This is actually more true with low earners. That's why this is an odd angle to take with regard to spending on luxuries.

Those with higher income have greater liquidity when you compare across income brackets.

Of course, but you would expect that from groups on the lower end of the pay scale.

People typically don’t expect a household with two engineers to be over leveraged and broke. But it happens, and I think it helps to highlight this because it shows that when people have money problems, it’s usually more of a spending problem than an income problem.
