I was surprised all 20 picked Portland. I may be a homer but I thought this was a good matchup for us because of our perimeter defense. Literally the only way Portland beats us is a monster game from Lillard or McCollum and I don’t see it happening with the way Jrue has been playing.

Series ain't won yet. I like where the Pels are right now...but let's get 2 more wins before we blast these guys.

I had Pels in six before game 1

I always find it odd when ESPN calls itself experts in anything... they only pander to the bigger market for views when “analyzing”..

Very rarely do the 1 2 or 3 seed lose in Round 1, especially since the NBA changed it back to 7 games. 5 games series gives a higher chance for variance.
Don’t really blame them for picking Portland, although I’m glad they did LUL.

FWIW all but 3 have it going 6-7 games which is still very plausable

The last playoff series Portland won, they were in a 0-2 hole. We have a long way to go.
ETA..They were the road team and lost the 1st 2 in LA and went home and won 2 to get the momentum. Different situation here.

I completely get that. I'm all for putting all of them on blast...let's just get that 4th win first.
Remember, this is ESPN that we're talking about. They are to sports journalism what McDonald's is to a healthy, balanced diet.

Despite his team's winning both of its first two games on the road, Gentry wasn't yet in a celebratory mood. "We've still got two games to win," he said, "so we're not celebrating anything."
For the first time ever, y'all need to listen to AG.
