Houston Chronicle article
quote:
That honor goes to the Kingwood area, a master-planned community within Houston city limits that was created by the Friendswood Development Company and annexed in 2000. Via de La Valle, a neighborhood in San Diego, ranks as the safest community in the U.S. The Niche ranking was calculated using data from the U.S. Census, the FBI, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and a crime and public safety score gathered via Niche user surveys. In addition to crime data, such as the number vehicle thefts, murders and assaults, Niche also gathered information on excessive drinking, drug-related deaths, firearm related deaths and the premature death rate.
Happy Easter everyone!

Black - 3.8%
Hispanic - 7.8%

I am visiting in-laws in Kingwood now. The HEB is life changing. Also, I am convinced they have the most miserable residents. They pretty much all have an over inflated perception of self importance.

Kingwood is very safe, yes. But like anywhere, there is plenty of trouble for bored teenagers to find if they are looking for it. And if you can't find it in Kingwood proper, well then Forest Cove and New Caney aren't far away.

That's most of Texas. They think their shite doesn't stink because they're from a state that is better than Louisiana, which is like patting yourself on the back for winning a spelling bee against a retarded toddler.

Kingwood sucks arse. I’m happy in the Heights.

Comparing Kingwood to Austin or The Heights is dumb. Obviously very different.
I live here, mid 30's two kids. I like it for a suburb, I wouldn't live in any other suburb, but obviously Austin or The Heights have more to offer in the way of entertainment and for kids less people

It is great as a younger kid but boring AF for teenagers.
