The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation announced Tuesday that in addition to taking the monuments down, Landrieu offered "clear and compassionate reflections on the moment and its place in history."
I must have missed that day
He did offer reflections on the moment in his new book that you can purchase.

JFK actually a badass when his PT-109 was ripped in half in the pacific. For being a soft rich boy he showed some balls that day
Someone will soon post that JFK should have faced a court martial for hazarding his vessel. He gets a ton of hate.
He was awarded a Navy Cross, the Navy's second highest decoration for valor. The military hands out lower decorations for political reasons, but a Navy Cross? According to survivor accounts, he towed a severely injured crewman a mile or two. He swam out into the channel a couple of nights to try to alert an American vessel. Maybe he was a shitty officer who got his boat run down, but the guy nutted up when he needed to care for his men.

Finally there is Justice in this World. I'm so glad that Landrieu is so courageous because now he can take that dangerous political step and fix the fricking roads.

Courage for doing what the reactionary masses wanted.. Lord, that word and these type of awards are so phony now.

-Tears down confederate monuments
-Gets praised for it by a bunch of yankees
This is your mayor New Orleans, what do you have to say for yourselves?

As Ben Shapiro says, courage involves risk. Landrieu is not courageous.

Glad to see the Kennedy family is embracing its irrelevance.
