Coaching these kids up and stressing emphasis on precision routes. He’s nitpicking every little flaw and wants these guys to learn how to run routes and get open. I’m loving it. Whoever is the starting QB, I have full faith he’ll have some open targets !

He's a very respected WR coach. Glad our talent has someone actually coaching them instead of Mickey Joseph smelling in his own farts in the corner.

I’m not going to forget we have the combined oldest staff in football and some of our coordinators and assistants haven’t coached full time in 20 years.
With that, I’m skeptical until proven otherwise. Hoping for the best.

Mike Duhtillyay says Chark told him that Sullivan was the reason he was better as a senior.

I didn't like the hire because we need guys who can coach and recruit, but no one can deny this guy can coach. He's very respected in the NFL as a WR coach and technician.
Just sucks we can't find a guy that can do both.

Maybe the Sullivan hire was two-fold for Coach O. First reason of course was to teach the wr's the fundamentals of becoming good recievers. But second, to teach Mickey Joseph how to coach the wide reciever position. Just like I'm sure Coach Johnson was mentored by Coach Jenkins.

LSU doesn’t hire OJT project coaches.

Damnit, accidental downvote was me. It was supposed to absolutely be an upvote.

Sullivan will work wonders with our WR's.
Cregg will have to do more than that with our Sun Belt-SWAC level OL talent. (The most deficient area of the football program and what will hold the team back from reaching its potential)

Please explain. Deculus, Ingram, Charles, Traore, Campbell and Brumfield are all 4 star athletes. Cole Smith was the top OC by the ESPN rating. Lewis, Magee and Cushenberry are all good prospects.

you might be surprised - some of these older coaches are much more engrained in the benefits of teaching the fundamentals of the game versus skipping over them because it's deemed unimportant, wasted time. There aren't many great HS coaches left out there who stress fundamentals - thus, college coaches have to fill in the gap.
