Hell, they hadn't even lost a game in an opening series since 2008.

Yikes. This season will be ugly.

We have no pitching and no one is hitting the ball either. If this keeps up we are in for a long season.

To be fair, LSU has never played a team this good as their opener

We knew coming in it’d probably be a rough year

Hopefully Paul can pull his magic and figure something out and make a usual late season run.

Beginning of Conference play will be rough for sure

If not for a miracle comeback on Friday, they would have been swept. Notre Dame won this series convincingly.

didn't Illinois take 2/3 a few years back? was that not opening weekend, perhaps?

Maryland and Wake Forest are on the same level as ND.

The last team we lost an opening series to was Texas in 1999, which we coincidentally face next week.

If we cut down on the walks, we may make the NIT.

A lot to figure out. After years, leaving a pitcher in too long is still one of them...

Well when you have a terrible bullpen you can’t afford to pull pitcher’s at the first sign of trouble or even the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th

I believe so. They won Friday and Sunday while we scored 20+ Saturday if I remember correctly. I believe it was 2012

I was way off. It was the 2009 season and the 3rd series of the season. Another reason not to panic this early...

I thought Kansas St swept LSU to open the season in like 2001?
