Has JJ Watt already secured a spot in the Hall of Fame?

Watt has only played 5 NFL seasons (missed the last two due to injury)
Yet, by his production, he has a legit case
He already has the most Defensive Player of the Year awards with 3 (tied with LT)
He already has 4 first team all pro nominations (same as Urlacher this year who got in, and more than a host of guys in the hall)
thoughts?

Is there a minimum number of seasons they have to play to get in? Seems to me like that is his only hurdle.

yes, he's in. If he never plays another down he's probably one of the Top 10 despite not having the longevity of the others on the list

if terrell davis and kurt warner are in, then yes. He's had a better career then both

I say yes. When he’s on the field and healthy he’s the best defensive player in the league

Yes
He was an all-time great at his position for multiple seasons.

I think he gets in, but it does seem strange to think about a guy getting in who would be 77th in career sacks

Yes, he's arguably the most dominant defensive player of his generation and has gained accolades on par with Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White to represent that domination

Besides Defensive MVP's what others does he have? Any league season records? Career Records?

Clowney is better. Just
Not quite the motor that JJ has.

First player in league history to record 2 20 sack seasons in a career, already holds the Texans franchise record for career sacks, MVP runner-up in 2014, excluding his 2 injury-plagued seasons the dude averages 15 sacks a season, that's insane bro

Honest question, I'm younger and wasn't old enough back then, but wasn't Bo Jackson regarded in the same way in the NFL? Like if he hadn't had the bad injury he would have surely been a hall-of-fame running back?
I say this because I watched the 30 for 30 the other night and they pretty much made that assumption.

If Kurt Warner is in. Then yes
Watt is 77th in sacks
Although, there is more competition for players that can record a sack

Plus, you don't even have to think about whether he's a HOFer or not: the eye test, his dominance and how the numbers justify the eye test sufficiently indicate slam dunk HOFer, he's almost like a better version of Mike Vrabel in terms of talent, dominance and versatility
