'Field' bet is literally the worst bet in a casino, at about 5.2% house edge.
While roulette is nearly just as bad at about a 5% house edge, you'll be wiped out so much sooner trying to execute the martingale strategy on the 'Field'.
It always amazes me how eager people are to throw away money at games they don't understand and cannot overcome the bad odds.
If you want to keep most of your money, learn basic blackjack strategy (1.6% house edge), don't bother counting cards (only a 0.2% improvement versus basic strategy at 1.4%). Winning splits and doubles can create positive outcomes. Then make the maximum available free odds bet on the craps table (0.0 house edge), the only bet that pays true odds and isn't marked/advertised anywhere in the casino.
