An earthquake happened.
First game I really remember. I was 7.
Also remember a rowdy, raunchy student section that cussed the other team in song format and threw cups of ice and drink after ads.

Turner Gil from Nebraska going off on us in the Orange Bowl I know it was early 1980's and the only time I saw jerry Stovall as our head coach.

It was either Wyoming or Rice in 77 or 78. Won 77-0 or 70-0. Carlos Carson went off also another game (can't remember if I am confusing both) Charles Alexander was ruinning all over them. I also remember the opposing team seemed to be injured every play....it was probably cramps though b/c it was early in the season

Charlie McClendon’s last season is my earliest clear memory of Tiger football, especially the Tulane game that year. Followed by the Bo Rein hiring and the Stovall years.

January 1st, 1968 Sugar Bowl game between LSU vs WYOMING... Tulane Stadium New Orleans on a cold overcast day ... Field was sloppy as hell from all the rain the day before...I remember the metal floors and people stomping their feet to make noise and the whole stadium shaking ...as a 11 yr old kid I was scared shitless that the stadium would collapse from all the pounding and rocking...LSU went on to score all their points in the 2nd half to beat Wyoming 20-13 after being down by 13 points at halftime... Nelson Stokley was the QB back then....offensive and defensive linemen weighed around 200 #’s ....

Vague memories at a young age. First one I truly remember was LSU Vs Washington 1983 I was 4 years old. What a day it was we tailgated by the creamy and I just remember asking my mom and dad before the game why my uncle was sleeping in the chair and didn’t come to the game. Good times

What is your earliest recollection of LSU Football?
I remember bits and pieces of the late 70's with Charles Alexander but only vaguely.
My love affair with LSU Football started in 1982 at 12 when my Dad brought me to a Tiger Booster Club (TAF precursor) crawfish boil that spring somewhere in St. Bernard I think. I got to meet Dalton Hilliard and Gary James before they stepped foot on the field at Tiger Stadium and shake Jerry Stoval's hand. I went to the opening game that year and then was at the FSU fog/orange game at the tail end of that season.
Been in love with it ever since.

I remember my parents watching LSU but first game I remember was LSU at South Carolina with something important happening to Kendall Cleveland. Missed pass or something.

1971 ND game .. LSU won 28-8 and that goal line stand in the south endzone was epic.... I am sitting in Michigan watching this game with the noise and fandom going crazy carrying Bert Jones off the field... I said at that moment I would love to watch A game at that stadium... And sure enough we moved down here in 1979 and my 1st experience at TS was the USC game... A constant roar the whole game... We had ZERO BIZ being on the field with that USC team and had them beat...
I am not for moral victories but if you talk to some USC players from that night they said it was the most intense they had EVER heard a crowd,.....

That’s easy. The ‘58 Tulane game , 62-0. I was only 9 years old but my dad and older brothers were having a great time.

I’m young, so it was recent. All I remember is that we were playing Auburn (maybe the 2003 game?) and I was with my dad. We were sitting in one of the endzones. My only memory of the game was that one of our players ran out of bounds and I lied to the guy sitting next to us about something and I got spanked in the truck after the game for lying ??
