The story is incredible
Ron Borges is the Herald reporter whom everyone despises -fans especially. He is an elitist old prick who loves to tout his "journalism."
But he especially despises one very successful Boston radio guy who has broken a lot of Pats stories recently. About 3 weeks ago Borges made a comment about his reporting saying "he doesn't even know how to get to the stadium."
So a few weeks ago, a caller/fan of the radio show gets Borges' phone number somehow and begins texting him saying he was Don Yee, Brady and Jimmy G's super agent.
It was mainly stupid texts about Ty Law and the Hall of Fame, but he would also slip in some false things like Brady's cut thumb being "infected" and way worse than he thought. Also said Brady and McDaniels and Kraft and Belichick all hated each other.
But Borges doesn't bite, until last night with the above text exchange....which is insane. Borges also says "sources" in his report on Brady wanting a Jimmy G-like contract now and will sit out OTA's until it happens. But clearly, only one "source" was used.
The caller was on Boston radio this morning and he said he even talked to Borges on the phone multiple times and he bit it hook, line and sinker. The guy was calling from a Boston cell phone and sounds exactly like what you'd think a Boston sports talk radio guy would....not this guy
Now the story has been taken down off the Herald website, they will have to run a huge retraction, the radio show is in full celebration mode and the Borges is calling "Don Yee" repeatedly and his reputation as a reporter is ruined. The guy was a jerk to everyone and it bit him in the arse. The lesson learned here is this....don't frick with Kirk "Scoops" Minihane

Schuplinski's
Quite possibly the dumbest sentence Uncle Gary has ever uttered on the show.... And that's saying something...
Curtis even destroyed him, "we have the most connected guy in the nfl for 8 minutes and you ask him about Schuplinski!?!"

Ed Werner is in a Twitter war with big Cat because he thinks Borges is the “innocent victim” in all this

Professional journalism died a long time ago once social media became a norm. I personally don't buy into any story until I see official sources or they're broken by the few credible reporters left in this world.

When Borges was employed at the Globe he was suspended for plagiarism, so of course the Herald hired him. Jesus what a shitty excuse for a newspaper.

Yep. I took a news writing class my freshman year in college, 2006, and was taught that you needed at least two rock solid sources before you went with anything.

Also said he had multiple sources.
