Do you ever pass up opportunities to make money?

Or do you always take advantage of making an extra dollar? I hardly ever pass up an opportunity to make extra money. As long as it's worth my time

I've turned down jobs that would have paid more because I didn't think I'd like them as much as my current one.

Absolutely, down time away from work is just as valuable as time there

Can’t buy back time with your kids so yes.

Well, I'm a contractor myself, a roofer... And speaking as a roofer, I can say that a roofer's personal politics come heavily into play when choosing jobs. Three months ago I was offered a job up in the hills. A beautiful house with tons of property. It was a simple reshingling job, but I was told that if it was finished within a day, my price would be doubled. Then I realized whose house it was.
It was Dominick “Babyface” Bambino's. The gangster. The money was right, but the risk was too big. I knew who he was, and based on that, I passed the job on to a friend of mine. And that week, the Foresci family put a hit on Babyface's house. My friend was shot and killed. He wasn't even finished shingling.
I'm alive because I knew there were risks involved taking on that particular client. My friend wasn't so lucky. You know, any contractor willing to work on a project knows the risks. If they’re killed, it was their own fault. A roofer listens to his heart, not his wallet.

Do you feel guilty for referring your friend?

I'M NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TODAY!

That’s a quote from the movie Clerks

What kind of two bit hit man shoots the roofer?

I won't pass up an opportunity for extra $, unless it involves gay stuff.

all depends if you need the money, if you dont need the money its easy to value free time more then income.
also depends on what the job is, there are jobs that pay well but not enough for me to want to do them unless im desperate for cash

currently planning to turn in my 30 day notice at my current job which paid me almost 20k more than my last job. I get home late monday - thursday and always bring work home. i spend my friday afternoons and weekends trying to catch up on work. The work is never ending and I have 3 kids 5 and under. Time is more valuable right now.

Absolutely. I make enough to live on and put a bit away for retirement. I have no desire to work more.

I turned down those mlm companies like quickstar and primerica after watching them in their big meetings.

Did you tell him about the risks?
Posted on 2/4/18 at 2:35 pm to TechDawg2007
As long as it’s not illegal, immoral or unnecessarily dangerous. I can always use extra cash.

Why put artificial limits on yourself?
