The real question is why does Congress and the President (neither of which loses their paychecks in a shutdown - not that Trump needs it) hate America? What we morphed into is a democracy that has lost our ability to compromise which is the premise of democracy. Radical left and right idealogues now have control of government.

Trump is not taking a paycheck. It is the Dims who are fricking America up and are still getting paid.
