shite holes I've personally been to:
Venezuela and Ecuador. Caracus and old Quito are two the scariest cities - you feel like you're being watched to be mugged and killed, you don't go out at night.
We were on a tour bus and the bus driver hit the curb to avoid a motorbike and ran over some guy laying in the gutter...and we all said, hey we think you just ran over that guy and the bus driver said: "oh, it is no problem, he was already dead."

Appalachia was solid blue up until Obama. What turned them red was Obama's attacks on the coal industry, which greatly increased the poverty in the region.

Been there. Not a shithole but very meh. It’s the size of St. Tammany Parish. Had a decent burger in Vaduz

This doesn't explain why the elite don't vacation in...Cape Town.
You were doing OK until this...instead you exposed yourself as an utterly clueless frick.
Go ahead and admit it...you're clueless about South Africa.
I could go on and on about Cape Town, the Garden Route, Sun CIty, etc. Instead, I'll just leave this right here.
The elite don't vacation in Cape Town? Who the frick would you expect to spend almost $3,000 on an overnight trip on the most luxurious train in the world?
You have shite for brains.
Literally.
If someone took a hatchet and split your head open, shite would pour out.
You want to rant about shithole countries, fine. Just don't be a foolish dumbass when you do it, ok?

Heading there soon. Should I just go ahead and cancel my wine tour now or what?
Hell no. I hope you're a golfer. Beautiful courses with the scenery of Pebble Beach at a fraction of the cost.
OP thought he was being clever and instead came across like a fricking dumbass who's never been out of his own state.

I don't know Capetown now...but I was there in the Spring of 1994 and it was what you'd expect of a British Colonial gem.
Of course, there was the underside that was hidden in the townships...
I was there just before the Mandela elections and it crazy.
Also you'd go into a bar in Cape Town and they'd ask you to check your gun...into some cubbie-holes. People were packing left and right.

They do offer Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua as prizes. So all of Central America isn't a sh*tthole.

Chicaghetto
Chicago is fricking awesome when it isn't freezing. Also, it ranks 28th in murder and violent crime (below cities like Atlanta and Houston), so all this BS is totally overblown. Don't believe everything you hear.
