Fournette had over 100 yards in the second half you stupid mother fricker

Stand corrected, missed the 89 yard run on the first series. After that he had 13 yards the rest of the game and we lost.

He has not done anything the second half. Gone down rather easily too.

The Syracuse and Ole Miss games come to mind.. Not to mention the AU game where he was TOTAL beast mode.... But yup you are right... He didn't do crap while at LSU...............

Never said he didn’t do crap. Said he never did anything in a big game. The 3 you just referenced are not big games, so again I’ll wait for someone to actually address what I said, not continue to point out meaningless games where he piled up a bunch of numbers.

Hell he had a huge game against eastern Michigan too, let’s add that to your list.

The last few series, where they needed a first down, he has not been very good. Lost a lot of yards. Put them in long down situations on 3rd down.

Because he's been hit in the backfield.

LSU fan here. Ol Big Game Leonard strikes again.

Never got why people are so defensive of him. He’s selfish and never did anything when it mattered. Cost LSU the Florida game last year. He’s the kind of guy that tells you how humble and selfless he is, while making everything about him and what he’s doing. He thought he was bigger than LSU.

The AU game was NOT A big game?????

Look I know he didn't do crap against Bama... Fine.... Yet I KNEW even before he was drafted that he would NOT be the same player in the NFL as he was in college....

So whats YOUR point???????????????

I agree with every bit of this... However... He was pretty good while at LSU.. A FREAK RB... BUT was just looking at NFL dollars sine he walked on campus....

He was a great player but Miles did him no favors by running him into stacked boxes time after time.

Just look at today, fake to him and pass it where the LB's just left to go chase LF. In most cases add a safety into that mix that was crashing as well.

Fournette has played his whole
College and nfl
Career with no QB and facing 8 and 9
Man boxes. I hope he’ll eventually play with a good QB that defenses will have to respect.

If he was this legendary generational talent, shouldn’t he have done better in bigger spots?

You might know that football is a team sport. Teams with good talent can scheme to stop "legendary"talent but have to give up something else. However, if the offensive scheme and talent is not capable of taking advantage of what the defense is giving you and continues to try to run against the stacked box, the numbers are not going to be good.
Against good teams and coaching staffs, LF7 consistently ran against 8-9 men in the box. Our passing game was so ineffective and unimaginative that we couldn't make Bama and others go back to conventional defensive alignments that would have allowed LF7 to have open lanes to run.
His low stats in big games have everything to do with the above and nothing to do with your perceived lack of ability by Fournette.

Some obviously don't know that. Calling LF7 out for bad games like his play is the only variable.

I’m not calling him out for bad games, all I’ve said was that I don’t understand why LSU fans are so defensive of him and act like he’s Walter Payton. Even in college “generational talents” can single handedly carry their teams to victory and come up huge in big games even if the team loses. He never did this. Yet all these morons act like he ran for 400 yards every week and we won 3 titles.

Good player, over rated, never lived up to the hype.

Obviously the NFL didn't think he was overrated. But I say again when a talented defensive team schemes to stop you and your offense isn't talented enough to take advantage of what the D is giving you, even Walter Payton wouldn't have good numbers. I watched every play LF7 played at LSU. He had no chance to have good games against Bama with 8-9 in the box & one of those spying on him every play.
I think his rookie season in the NFL has proven how good he is if you weren't convinced by his college career.
