In that case, we're #14 in the rankings and #14 in scoring defense, ergo, Ed Orgeron = Aranda.
You are reaching because this thread is A FAIL...............

He makes $3.5 million. Clearly he's under paid.

Well you asked the WRONG question......
You make it sound like O sits at his desk until Saturday and then shows up for the game and Canada does ALL the work...
Does Saban do this??? Or does he put his coaches and players in the best position to win?????
Again.. Was Kiffin more valueable at Bama when he was there than Saban??????????????

PJ, with all due respect, I don't have a fricking clue what you're discussing.
Nick Saban is far more valuable than Kiffin, but Tiffin is pretty good. Alternatively, I'd say Canada deserves a better grade as an OC than Orgeron does as a HC. Do you disagree?

Peej, I applaud you for not POSTING in random CAPS.

Dude its all good....
Look.. Canada has been at like 7 places in 9 years...
O was NOT my choice as the HC... BUT the HC has way more things on his plate OVERALL than the OC..................
Its a tough question to answer because the jobs are very different......
Plus I will ask you again.. Last year when O and Ensminger took over the offense set records... This years team did not on offense.... Everyone says that the only reason those offensive records were set was because the teams we set them against had garbage D's... OK.. NOW everyone is saying that this years SEC has been the worst in years ..THATS the only reason O and company won like they did...
Bottom line is that last years offense was way better than this years...
look it up........

Canada is better at his job than Orgeron is at his - True or False?
Inconclusive really, but Canada was trending up while O is trending down and this whole situation obscures both measurements.

Do you really think a HC is going to have no say in the game plan on either side of the hall?
It should've been written into his contract that he has no say.
What has he done in his career that qualifies him to modify the work of coaches much more experienced in their craft than he is?

Canada even with his problems with authority and personality is a proven success as an OC at several stops.
O was 10-25 at Ole Miss worst in their history.
Since at LSU has largest ever loss to Moo State. And a first time ever loss to a SunBelt Team.
Had to be called to Alleva’s office with his Coordinators in a meeting that is unprecedented in the history of college football.
Stated he “learned from his time at Ole Miss” and would “let his coaches coach”. At least one coach (Canada) disagrees.
Hired an OC either not knowing or not caring about his problems with authority.
an OC that runs an offense that he doesn’t wish to run.
Make him highest paid OC in college football. Sign him to a 3 year deal.
Fire him with 2 years left owning him (pending settlement) up to 3M to not coach.
Despite that won 9 with a shot at 10 wins.
But if you can’t see the issues with him you have your head purposely in the sand.
