The further to one side the household workload goes, the more likely that person is becoming unhappy and increases the likelihood he/she will cheat. Best to keep the workload 50/50. I have no statistics to back this up...

The cause of all conflict is when the sex gets boring.

Wrong.
If your girl makes her arguments about money and the lack of it then your with a gold digger. And if you tolerate her behavior and try to continually make her happy you are not the Alpha, you are the submissive.

That's it. No magical formula. It's just that. If you make enough money you can live the life you want and your spouse will be eternally happy. Once you dip below that baseline number you're screwed. For some the number is $100k, others its $1,000,000. The only way to be a true alpha is to have a fat wallet.
Clearly working out for Harvey Weinstein.

Yeah because there are never divorces in Hollywood

It's not about how much you make, it's about how much you spend. I took a job making considerably less than I used to but I am much happier, have time to enjoy life, and I have been able to build up a decent investment account in the meantime.

This is really stupid.
It’s true that money can cause friction in a marriage, but I don’t think that if my spouse were to have sex with a prostitute, that my primary issue would be how much or how little money he makes.

I get your point, and money definitely makes things easier. However, there are so many more factors that cause marital conflicts, divorce, etc. Its cliché but Money cannot buy happiness. It can hide some shite but that's it.

Rich people divorce a lot because they can do so with very little negative impact on their individual lives. Poor people do it because they were already poor to begin with. No change either.
Middle class people probably have the most incentive to stay married, looking at it from a purely financial perspective.

The OP is a pretty obvious troll, but there is some truth to this.
The vast majority of marriages ultimately break up because of infidelity or money issues.
I'm not saying that those are the only reasons or that other reasons don't predominate for strife during the actual marriage, particularly that simmering, missile crisis kind of "always there" tension, but those are the big 2 when it comes to the marriage ending.
Obviously, the more you make, all other things being equal, the fewer fights you have to have over money. Plus, if there is an asymmetrical earning relationship, the downside of that one is more likely to put up with more shite from the other and for a longer period of time, than if they're both broke arse *ahem* individuals.

Wrong. I quit my job 4 years ago to stay home with the kids. Wife is the breadwinner. Our relationship is incredible.
